It’s being reported that Shane Warne has passed away.

Shocking news. Great, great player and a spot on fella.

Gutted.

Really shocked by this. Fantastic player and character. 52 is no age.

Former resident of Ocean Village!
Great loss, certainly lived a life and one of the cricketing greats
I see the Aussies also just lost Rodney Marsh

Tragically young age.

Remember watching him playing for Hants.

If he wasn't taking wickets he was joking with the fans and winding them up.

Legend is overused, but he was.

He rented a house through our Agency in Oxford street when he was playing for Hampshire and I spoke to him now and again. Very sad day . Loved watching him at the Rose bowl.

Terrible news. Only 52. I’m absolutely stunned.

Incredible cricketer but a flawed personality, no doubting his skills but anyone living in the city at the time would've known he always seemed to have a cold no matter the weather and would get through the snouts like they were going out of fashion.

I was at a dinner once and speaking to ex-Hants John Stephenson and he was saying how Warne called up a couple of players before joining Hampshire, to specifically see what the smoking policy was. Their answers were clearly favorable, as he duly signed !!

Great to have seen him play live and a true great
Over 700 Test Wickets
Easily in the top 10 Cricketers of all time and probably make many people's Top 5.
