Er the covid vaccine is gene therapy;

What is the difference between mRNA vaccine and traditional vaccine?
How do COVID-19 messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines work? Traditional vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies. Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, like the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, teach cells how to make a protein that triggers an immune response if someone gets infected.

If a different point of view worries you, just keep away from it and don't start provocative posts.

As a footballer he's one of my favourite saints players along with Steve Moran, Ivan Golack, Mick Channon and so on but as a person he's a doughnut, a David Ike wanna be. Even if like he says the vaccine does kill a few people in ever thousand covid has killed 1 in every 168 people in this country. Thats a massive number in comparison and I think I'll take take my chances on what the Dr's say rather than what Matt repeats from Trump and 15 year old keyboard warriors

I have met Matt a few times and am really surprised about the rabbit hole he has chosen to go down.
It is a real shame he has let himself down by promoting all these conspiracy theories.
He is, of course, allowed to hold such views within an open society but it would be interesting to know when and how he decided to get so embroiled with these very marginal views.

I have had a similar rabbit hole journey to Le Tiss, and heard him speak on this, so as with many the smoking gun moment was the over reaction to Covid. When lockdown was imposed, I thought "what the hell, I don't believe this" and from there I lost all trust with the powers that be overnight. Ridiculous mask mandates and sinister jab coercion finished me off.

Once your trust is gone you start thinking what other crap have I been sold and then you see there is propaganda and lies everywhere, as Churchill famously said "In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies" and this is how the powers that be act, always concealing the truth from the masses.

Le Tiss and others didn't decide "to get embroiled with these very marginal views" he went seeking for the truth and that is where it took him. Most people just want to get in line and be like the next person because that is the easiest way to get on in society, but for some truth is more important and they don't care about the consequences.

Those of us who have met Matt know that he is neither thick nor weird, he just values truth over popularity which is a rare thing these days.

The strength and weakness of our internet connected world is that we all have the ability to put the "truth" out there.

Sometimes that's a truth that is backed by numbers or opinions from learned people or just a body of supportive evidence.

Sometimes that's a truth that jumps out of us in the middle of the night with such force and obvious logic that it cannot be anything other than the truth even if there is no evidence.

Both of the above versions of the truth - and everything in between - will find adherents and followers in the billions who use the internet.

Some will be attracted to it because they've seen the individual on TV or in a film (and therefore they must be honest and intelligent and have checked their position - right?). Some will be attracted because the individual spent all their formative years learning how to kick or hit a ball (see above).

Most however will be attracted because they are either susceptible individuals too lazy or disinterested to do their own research - i.e. happy to let others think for them - or because what is being said chimes with them no matter how they've arrived at the idea.

It's very difficult and against our human nature to change your mind once you've invested a lot of time and effort into something. Takes real effort and courage to say "I was wrong" . Once you're on the path, it's easier to stay on it and grasp at increasingly poorer and poorer excuses for doing so.

I enjoyed watching Le Tiss on the pitch. I've met him briefly and he seems pleasant enough. I've never sat and debated with him the stuff we see here. He has a point to make and you know what - we don't have to read it, we don;t have to believe it and we certainly don't have to share it.

Reasonable post.
However I take issue on your wording that MLT 'values truth over popularity'
I would strongly argue that you should have added ...'his version' (of the 'truth')
I have listened to relatively well educated people put over a reasoned argument that the earth is flat and perhaps you and MLT are in this group.
Most people dont believe this of course nor do they believe there has been a worldwide conspiracy to control the population through Covid injections which would have meant that disparate groups in countries such as China and Russia, even North Korea and Cuba were in cahoots with the USA, UK and other rival regimes around the globe (or the flattened earth)

Yes Southsea, I concede, "the pursuit of truth" would be a more accurate term.

No, I am not a flat earther, although the "guarding of Antarctica to protect its unique environment, and conduct scientific investigations" interests me!

Global elitist eugenics and utopianism is hardly a conspiracy theory, over- population is freely talked about and has its own ambassador deity in Sir David Attenborough , see this piece from him covered by the World Economic Forum;

At this point in time, it won't take that long to determine whether the likes of Le Tiss are right to be concerned about the vaccine push. Some people are already of the opinion that the vaccines have caused more harm than good, including MPs Sir Christopher Chope & Andrew Bridgen. You'll get different opinions in all walks of life and situations, just listen to some of them to help your own mind up and observe what happens to stats like excess deaths/ miscarriages etc.

Jelly,

You appear to an intelligent cove.

If you are using Christopher Chope and Andrew Bridgen as examples of people who agree with your line of thought then I am more convinced than ever that you are flogging a dead horse.

I socialise with a lot of people who work at or with people associated with Southampton University Hospital and I am happy to take on board what they tell me rather than two MP's of rather dubious reputations.

I think using the reputations of MPs as any kind of marker is a moot point, as I could point to the character of those who pushed vaccines such as the despicable Hancock and Boris to counter that.

What I find interesting is why Bridgen and Chope would put their heads above the parapet in this way when they would surely know what is coming, if it was not a matter of conviction. Most MPs primary driver is not conviction but rather keeping the party whip, getting re-elected and climbing the greasy pole whatever it takes. This interview with Bridgen is interesting;

Aseem Malhotra is a Cardiologist who has also put his career on the line speaking out about vaccine damage and after initially promoting it on Good Morning Britain, he in this clip calls the jab rollout "the greatest miscarriage of medical science we will witness in our lifetime"

Jelly,

There are many 'eminent scientists. medical professionals , virologists etc who believe that Aseem Malhotra promotes extreme views.

He is, of course, allowed to promote them as he sees fit and it is up to individuals to make their own assessment

However from my own perspective, anyone who is prepared to put their views on a platform hosted by Dan Wooton on GB News would not do much for me but I can understand how his views may be greeted enthusiastically by the relatively few viewers
who watch the channel and enjoy the relatively extreme views promoted by some of the presenters and their guests.

Southsea

People turn to GB News as it is the only Offcom regulated broadcaster that allows a different point of view.

I'm sure the perfectly charming Aseem Malhotra would have preferred to put his views on the MSM, but there has been no platform for a counter argument. Although he did hilariously get his jab views across live on the BBC while talking about statins - you can only imagine what the poor newscaster was dealing with in her earpiece!

It's always a central part of any of the narratives around Covid, vaccination, lock down that the main stream media is an active and willing conspirator in a cabal to "do something".

I confess that I'm not entirely sure what that "something" is, who benefits and why etc. It does seem however to be a very flexible beast in that it delivers a range of benefits to a range of parties both of which appear to be at the choice of the commentator.

I'm not sure how many people work in "MSM" nor what that phrase includes or excludes. I'm assuming that the free to air TV channels, national and perhaps regional print media, national and local radio, internet based information channels of all types, will be included. I'm going to say that millions of people work in this space.

Are there any examples of current or ex workers in those places who have real evidence of conspiracy that can be attributed to something more than being a disgruntled employee?

Maajid Nawaz got kicked off LBC and Bob Moran got sacked by The Daily Telegraph as their political cartoonist. Here they are talking together;

https://odysee.com/@MaajidNawaz:d/EP34-Radical:2

Mark Steyn has not returned to GB News because Offcom basically made it impossible for him to return, because he spoke up on vaccine damage.

Mark Sharman, former ITV and Sky executive talking here about censorship in MSM;

You may ask why more haven't spoken up? As Upton Sinclair said "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on him not understanding it"

As far as I'm concerned, the overwhelming weight of evidence says that these vaccines were an overwhelmingly good thing.

The only downside has been that we are now able to attend football matches again. This means having to suffer the pain of watching Saints and being exposed to the associated increase in depression, stress and heart failure in the Southampton area.

I wonder if a cure can be found for this very dispiriting and demeaning illness.

I have bought my ticket for tonight and am considering whether it may be better to stay home and watch it on the TV
