I was actually in the covered stand down the side, which to be fair wasn't that bad.
The staff at the ground were very friendly and helpful, but seemed totally unprepared for the number of away fans present.
Nearly 4 hours to get there, but good journey back to dear old SO14 ensured i was home in only 2 1/2 hours. | | | |

Didn't want to risk the train back so stayed in a hotel, talking to some gills fans in the pub after the game, and they could not believe how bad Saints were. One summed it up perfectly! Just sit back and watch Saints pass themselves to death, just wait until a pass goes astray (as it always did, nip it fast get the ball and attack the goal.)
They could not believe how bad Tall Paul was, £18million for a player who could not use his feet to play the ball.
