It would be a great result if we did that. Birmingham are no mugs. They won League One with 111 points, 19 more than 2nd placed Wrexham. They've got JamesBeadle, a very good goalkeeper on loan from Brighton, Christoph Klarer, arguably the best centre back produced by Saints academy, Paik Seung-ho who scored a worldie against Brazil in the last World Cup finals, a Premier League winner in Demarai Gray (admittedly from mainly sub appearances), and a £20 mill striker in Jay Stansfield.

Our shots on target and conversion is so much better than it’s been for ages
| Birmingham Game Matchday Thread on 17:15 - Dec 6 with 516 views | saintwizzler | Good win. We looked knackered late on. Aribo would have been in trouble if VAR was in use. Horrible tackle. Romeu and Aribo are a yard off the pace. Bragg would have been a better option to see the game out. If they had any to start with. But 3 points. WE MARCH ON | |

| Birmingham Game Matchday Thread on 18:25 - Dec 6 with 290 views | City_boy | Big questions again today over the substitutions. Scienza and Armstrong were probably our best 2 players, taking them off with 30 mins to go (inc 6 mins extra time) didn't make sense. They were still lively and creating chances. I can only assume he was saving them ahead of mid week game ? Aribo and Romeu replacing Azaz and Jander on 80 mins, was a risk. Both Aribo and Romeu looked way off the pace and Birmingham took advantage. As mentioned earlier, Aribo was lucky to only get a yellow for a reckless challenge. He lost the ball easily and then chased player and took him out. In last 10 mins we struggled to get ball away, defending deep again and inviting Birmingham on to us. We did move the ball quicker today, but missed some very good chances. Finally, their keeper made Bazunu and McCarthy look world class ! Bazunu did ok today, but again beaten from outside the box. We march on ! [Post edited 6 Dec 18:31]

I agree about the subs, we lost so much speed and attacking power when they came off. However, Sciensa did go down and was treated for an injury before he came off and Armstrong took a knock. I can only assume that he took them off because they had both taken knocks, so he took them off to.protect them for Tuesday.

Bazunu has been beaten with shots from outside of the box more times than I care to remember. It can’t be coached out of him apparently and that’s one of the reasons why he is simply not good enough.

No keepers saving that shot. Bazunu deserves criticism when he's at fault but did nothing wrong today.

He also made that fantastic save with his feet late on which would have made it an even more nerve wracking place

Bazunu made some great saves today. Birmingham had 22 shots at our goal. We win most of our games when Bazunu plays in goal for us in the Championship, and when McCarthy plays, we usually don't, and that's a fact. Obviously, the change of manager is a major reason why we are winning, but the change of goalkeeper from McCarthy to Bazunu has certainly helped.
