Peretz is a complete and utter punt...a " swing hard in case you hit it" move.

The problem I have is that, as a mere fan, it brings me no expectation. It doesn't make me sit up and say "well that's one of our 3 key requirements in the window ticked off". It's more like slipping into a tepid bath and thinking it's" better than nothing"

Absolutely,most goalkeepers would look suspect with our defence in front of them.
Having said that good goalkeepers organize the defence around them,trouble is we haven't found one yet,and to be honest its like organizing chocolate soldiers round a fire.

Why is it a tough decision ?

The options are an untried keeper who has barely played in 2 1/2 years and who was not that convincing against League One opposition.

Or a 36 year old experienced keeper who has played more league games this season for Saints than our new signing has played in the last 21/2 years

Or a 32 year old who has not played much in the last year, but also has plenty of experience in the Championship .

To be honest I cant see much difference between the 3 of them and that is very worrying
