Seems rather low to me
Whilst I appreciate he's 28, will have 1 year left on his contract in the summer and it seems he wants to leave (his non reaction to Leo's goal last Sunday was pretty telling) to sell him for that fee and this late in the window when prices are inflated, I was expecting the fee to be over 10
Lord knows who'll we'll get in as a replacement, what's Bas Dost up to these days?

My concern is the fact we've not been linked with any players is less about the club doing their business discreetly and more that we have no intention of spending any more money. We'll likely get a striker from the danish second tier on loan that has three career coals but a high "xG".
With Kat attending recent games, I can only hope there is a potential for the club being up for sale. As it stands, it's pretty depressing. However the standard is so low we remaining within touching distance of the playoffs. |  | | |

Totally agree Pat, a bum deal indeed. Apparently an extra £2m in add-ons, that’s if they ever get paid, but still not enough.
God only knows what we will get as a replacement given SR’s pathetic recruitment record overall. One report I read today says they have a replacement lined up that will be better suited to TE’s style of play.
Have to say, a clever bit of business by Wolves. They know, as indeed we do, AA will probably be as much use as a chocolate fire guard in terms of saving their season, they are already planning for next season and have got themselves a player capable of 20 goals a season in the Championship and he will be fully integrated into the set up and available from game No.1, not signing at 9pm on deadline day at the start of September. As I have said, a clever bit of business in what will be a much stronger division next season. [Post edited 1 Feb 16:26]

Perhaps you're right about AA being a bad influence in the dressing room.
I personally always thought he played like a schoolboy perhaps he behaves like one as well.
How he was ever made Captain in Slack Jack's absence I shall never know.
But we thank him for his goals & contribution.
Problem is we're now a striker short, this Canadian guy is not the answer.

Larin was previously banned from driving because he was found guilty of driving while over the legal limit.
So he'll probably be a worse influence than AA ever was.
Just watched his video which normally shows their best bits, if this video is anything to go by then we've got a real duffer.

This obviously wasn't the plan at the start of the season. No club plans to sell players in January. The plan would have been to wait until the summer and then either get him to sign a new contract or sell him then.
So what's changed? I'm doubtful that it's down to his attitude. There may be some truth in that but it hasn't been a big enough issue to stop Tonda playing him. I think it's just down to the fact that Tonda doesn't rate him as a centre forward and doesn't need him as a right sided forward in a 4-3-3 or whatever. I suspect his priority is to get some physicality in as a back up to Ross, but of course it's unlikely SR will sign anyone who's any good. | | | |

I do find it interesting that we are selling our leading goal scorer in the middle of the season, when we want promotion, getting 10 million for him and only bringing in a loan player.

Is Armstrong one of the trouble makers, along with Archer, Bazunu, Aribo all now out of the door? We played so well yesterday without Armstrong and Archer in the squad. That was interesting that the players didn't seem to care that he is going. In fact they seemed happy.
Do we need the money desperately?
The sudden appearance of Kat at Pompey? Is Solak getting in as much money before he leaves? The would make more sense only if we were also selling Harwood-Bellis wouldn't it?

If it’s 7 mill that is ridiculous. So this season we will have sold or loaned out 6 strikers this season, and will have bought in 2 , of which 1 has been loaned out. It’s def not a fire sale |  |

Wolves play with 2 strikers (5-3-2 at the weekend). That will suit Arma just fine. He can't play as a lone striker or centre forward but if he has someone to feed off, like he did with Che Adams, then he'll do fine again in the Championship next year. | | | |
