Lets hope i havent developed the ability to predict the future, having said that although it would mean that Saints would miss out on either promotion or the cup final, one or the other would be fine and it would also mean I will be winning the lottery on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future | |

Yes, I am worried that will be the case. Saints have again only stated that fans buying a ticket on general sale, needed to have attended just one game at St Mary's since 2020. How many plastics would have been to at least one game, probably Arsenal last season in the PL or in previous PL seasons? It really should be 2 games since the beginning of this season to stop the plastics.
Why hasn't the club done that? I am pretty sure that the club know that just a one game purchase history allows for them to have an excuse of trying to stop the plastics, (We tried our best, we put restrictions in place) knowing that they will get in to get the game sold out. Ofcourse they want the money and know that it won't be sold out if they restrict it too much.
It seems a bit fishy to me that the tickets are selling like hotcakes the minute the ticket price went up to £35 and went on genereal sale. [Post edited 25 Mar 12:52]

Having said that you have to have been on the data base and bought a ticket in the last few years, so there will be a few returning Saints fans buying tickets | |

Game sold out. The last time we played Arsenal in the PL, a plastic jumped up when they scored. They were swiftly dragged out by Saints fans, and the stewards bothered to move when he was pushed all the way down to the tunnel into the concourse. Hopefully our first evening sell out of the season, isn't because of the plastics and are Saints fans who only turn up for the big games. [Post edited 28 Mar 21:22]

On the Tuesday evening after this game Arsenal travel to Lisbon to take on Sporting, the the Champions League quarter finals.
Sporting are in second place in the Portugese League and in with a good shout of overtaking Porto who are top and are in good form.
I think Arsenal will be prioritising this game rather than Saints, where they will feel their youngsters will be good enough to beat us.
Arsenal have 3 chances of a trophy this season and will put the Premier League & Champions League way ahead of the FA Cup.
Rice, Saka & Madueke weren't withdrawn because they are going to play at St Mary's, they are being wrapped in cotton wool for the game against Sporting.
