Watching England the other night, reminded me of us.
Tuchel does the same as Tonda . Being cagey in the first half and in the second bringing on 5 like for like subs. Whatever happens in this WC, I think we’ll break the ghost of Southgate.

I'd say we won by playing the English way - with high intensity, which is the difference between our leagues and most others. The pace at the start of the second half was completely different to the tentative style in the first half.
That seems to be what Tuchel wants to do, but doing that for 90 or 120 mins in high heat and humidity (or at altitude in Mexico) is a different prospect than doing it in an air conditioned stadium, or a regular season day. Fair play for trying, at least it makes for attractive football, but I can't see it working in the later stages, when possession football will probably win once again. | | | |

Unfortunately, conditions will play a part. It looks likely that England will have to play Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, where, due to the lack of oxygen at high altitude, they're virtually unbeatable. Our players will be struggling for breath in the 2nd half.
It's sad really that a match will be decided by the venue rather than the football. I think the only way we can avoid that fixture is if we lose at least one of our group games. [Post edited 19 Jun 11:37]

Downside..Nagelsmann is a dick.
Today I go on hols...Mauritius ?..Amalfi Coast ? Nope, too many Pompey cleaning the bogs in my Hotel there.
For me it' 3 days in Worksop with Sister in Law.. Worksop is where hope, joy and the will to live all go to die.

African side played well,but you get punished if you don’t put your chances away particularly when playing Germany.

Exactly on both counts. That one chance towards the end with good build up play and excellent cross ball asking to be first time welly in to the net. He decided totake a touch, lost the ball and upfield the Germans went.
