1. The Chapel Kop seemed to be growing in numbers, for the Stoke Game there appeared to be about 25 of them, for this game it seemed to have almost quadrupled in numbers from where i sat.
2. For the first 20 mins it seemed to be silence, the Northam Red wall seemed to have lost their voice and couldnt even raise a "it started in the Chapel "
3. Why would you go into the club shop and spend £70 and upwards on a replica shirt and then make the "Thank You" you said to the shop assistant the last words that you will utter towards a club employee till next years shirt is out, how do people sit through the whole game in silence.
4. Millwall fans did desert their section in huge numbers in the last 20 minutes or so, there was barely anyone left by injury time, back in the 1970's when you saw Millwall fans leaving the Archers Road you knew that they were not going home but would be coming to see you
5. Millwall will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, this was a good win |  |

1. Yes I noticed that too. Mixed blessing, great to have them there to generate some atmosphere at that end but the surging is starting so could lead to a block being closed if numbers grow.
2. I actually thought the Northam started well and inevitably quietened when we went behind before responding to our recovery. Perhaps our perspective depends where you are.
3. 100 % agree. When I and others stand up and scream in the Kingsland we are met either by laughter of disapproval. People complained when some of us stood for the penalty. Whatever views people half of the atmosphere in the ground, I’m certain that the two side stands used to get a lot more involved than they do now. Have the same people just got older?
4. Pathetic support, didn’t hear a peep out of them after we equalised. I got a sense there were a few day trippers in there. Inevitably, some will leave when the game is lost, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mass exodus like that before, there must’ve only been a couple of hundred there at the end
5. I think they had quite a few out injured. They’ll be up there around the playoffs I would think. I think they thought they could bully us on the front foot but with the numbers they were committing forward and two upfront they gave us huge spaces in midfield. |  | | |

I haven’t been recruiting.
I left the Northam 18 months ago in a fit of pique (weirdly I think my last game there was against Millwall and the Northam support that day was shocking) and much to my surprise, 7 or 8 of my best mates soon followed me to Block 20 in the Chapel.
But that’s it. I haven’t encouraged anyone else to go there.
It was lively in there for a few games last season and hopefully we’ll get there again. But we definitely do not want it getting to a point where they consider closing it. [Post edited 30 Aug 21:12]

Pffft you’re a Johnny come lately mush, those in the know moved long before you did.
Also agree on the surging thing, I find it disappointing to see and it’s the most likely thing to get the club to shut down something that is actually decent and a lot of fun.
It was never meant to be about constant singing, that’s the northam’s job, it was just about having a laugh with your mates at the game again. |  | | |
