Charlton and the Wheelies Match Thread 07:09 - Sep 9 with 56266 views

Seeing as Spaceman lost the last game and won't start the next, and because I have a history with Charlton from last season, I'll start this one.

I can't be at the game - work - so am relying on the TV coverage hoping for a 2-1 win, expecting a 0-0.

If anyone is going, PLEASE do report back on the crowd management and any issues.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Hmmm…

It’s not happening again, is it?

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Such poor final ball from some of our players tonight. Hugely frustrating. Got to be better.

If we had a chance I think we would have pulled Alfie by now... really has had an ineffectual game

We don't know the severity of these injuries yet do we? Also, other clubs have clusters of injuries. I don't see why this is automatically either a full-blown catastrophe or a reason to be looking to blame someone yet.

My observation is that this message board has been pretty prone to negativity in match threads - the only time I'm here, fair play, and actually it's been a pretty good start to the season. Let's just see where we are injury-wise at the international break. We know that Julien and his team are trying to be super cautious.

‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

Don’t panic yet, we don’t know the nature of the injuries tonight, a knock or muscular.

It does however affect the game plan badly for two consecutive games.

Struggle to watch Smyth when he's this wasteful

The injuries that have affected us so far this season, only 7 games in. It would probably beat our current XI with ease.

It's getting beyond a joke

That's how many injuries (and non contact at that) in what? 6 league games?

I said it in the summer before a ball was kicked that unless there were changes made with the medical team we'd be no better off regardless of who we sign. Really, REALLY hope I'm wrong but it's an absolutely ridiculous situation to be in so early.

A real positive tonight is Adamson as handled Campbell really well...

The pundit calls it correctly:"That is one hundred percent a foul (on Kamara)".

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

We're getting in behind them now, especially down our left. A lot more promising.
