Just been listening to SRL on Tsport who was on primarily to talk Scouse failure obviously, but said a lot about Tonda and how pleased he has bonded the whole city and got on with the job in hand Praise also given for the owners for not sacking him but also how we would possibly have struggled had we gone up as last time

Winning games and fighting for something special will always attract fans. Our fans are there in large numbers when they need us. Wolves away, do they still offer 3000 tickets in the Championship and could that game yet be changed for TV. If we get 3k I know i will get a ticket and can also book trains if that date 5th December is set. [Post edited 2 Nov 9:49]

Wolves will be on the Saturday. Unfortunately we will get 3,000 tickets and their terrible side stand. They only keep the smaller (much better) corner section for small clubs like Portsmouth and Bournemouth. Good luck with the Cross Country train to Wolverhampton. Always a horrific experience. As is Wolverhampton itself. The only place you will be able to get a drink is in Birmingham, so get off the stinking cattle truck at New Street.

It is easier to to Wolverhampton from Birmingham than it is to Aston Villa have a drink by New Street station and then get a train to Wolverhampton about 2.20 gets there for 2.35 and 15 min walk to the ground

Travelling via Bristol to Wolves due to previous nightmares on Southampton to Midlands trains, and also stopping off in Brum on route, as away fans are not allowed in any decent pubs in Wolverhampton

I would assume thats the case, that is where away fans are for Charlton and Derby games, so should be a better atmosphere than that soulless area on side of pitch [Post edited 2 Nov 13:02]

| Away ticket sales on 14:59 - Nov 2 with 835 views | Southamptonfan | It says that we have been given the full allocation. Are Wolves being naughty with only giving us the minimum they need to give us or have we taken a smaller allocation? Cardiff fans were in the side stand by the way and were given 2500 and the tickets were more expensive than ours will be. Bit strange? https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.u | |

Presumably as the side stand is weirdly deemed to be a better view. Which is nonsense in the case of Wolves. They only have to give us 2,000 apparently. If only we had not stupidly configured our away end in such a way that we could have reciprocated this when we play them at St. Mary's (and then given the extra tickets to Saints fans).....

Hmm so they gave Cardiff more, but because we are a promotion rival, they are purposely giving us a smaller allocation, the maximum they have to give us. We should do the same back, like we did with Middlesbrough in the playoffs last season.

Would cost the club the thick end of £50k in lost ticket sales, though….

| Away ticket sales on 18:55 - Nov 2 with 613 views | FredTheLeg | How do we know it wasn't Saints who decided on the smaller allocation? I know the page says full allocation but it does on the Sheffield United one too and that definitely isn't. Not saying it is that but it does seem weird for them to give us less than they've given others. Be great if it was in the smaller bit in the corner rather than the normal away end. | | | |

I thought that too, from memory wolves is never a popular away day for obvious reasons ( shit seats along the side and a city centre that’s doesn’t welcome away fanes freely) It could well be the club have looked at previous sales and decided it wasn’t worth the risk of paying for unsold seats. Could also be wolves think they can sell another 1000 tickets so given us the smaller allocation. I doubt we will ever find out.

It doesn't make sense for Saints to take the smaller allocation. We have sold out West Brom tomorrow, 2500 tickets on a Tuesday night, same distance but in the evening. Heading towards 3k for Preston, which is lot longer distance. Wolves is a Saturday 3pm, big top of the table clash, and I have never known us not to take 3000 to Wolves, sat in the lower tier in that stand on the side, hence all the chat about it being a terrible view, but we have always taken 3k there. We would easily sell it out on a Saturday. As mentioned above, strange about Sheff Utd too. We definitely took 2800 up there last year for an evening game, this year it says full allocation as 2000. I went to Sheffield away last season for a night game 30 Sept and the crowd was 27,000, out of 2773 tickets we were given, we probably sold about 1800, was nowhere near full. This season for a night game we will probably sell about the same, 1800, but I agree Wolves away on a Saturday we could sell 3000, and maybe we could get the extra as they won't split that away end with Wolves fans,

With Sheffield though, they can't split that lower tier behind the goal with home fans anyway, plus Sheffield have plenty of home seats to go around so they might as well just put all the seats on sale to us behind the goal. Very strange with Wolves. I can only think Wolves think that Saints are huge rivals for promotion, their fans will sell out and they don't want 3000 of us roaring Saints on in a big promotion game. Makes sense as Wolves are allowed to only offer 2000. I can't see why Saints would take the lower allocation on a Saturday for a big game at a ground we have always taken 3000 to. Cardiff took about 2500 behind the goal, so they may give us the other 500 as they won't split that end with home fans for sure
