Just goes to show how fickle us footie fans are and how easy it is to go from hero to zero.
I always thought Bamford was a decent striker after first seeing him marmalise our decent, at the time, Youth team in a cup game.
Chelsea then paid a lot of money for him and he had a decent career until age and injuries took their toll.

Don’t get me started on Szmodics! Cannot believe what he went for - £9m base fee + £2m add ins. We are looking at getting £10m for Mara - who’s the better player?? I’d really like to have seen us go for him.
As for the Leeds fans, they have a very heightened sense of entitlement for a club that has only spent 3 seasons in the top flight since 2004. As for their treatment of Bamford, it’s just a largely obnoxious set of supporters showing their true colours. |  | | |

Sczmodics isn’t far off 30, so has little re-sale value.

Our pretty decorations looked good today, leaving Russell Martin with a warm glow after the game, saying how great they were, but we lost to a team of 10 men because they had a spine and we didn't. It's the spine that stops and scores goals, and wins games. [Post edited 17 Aug 2024 19:12]
