Elyounoussi - signed another season on loan at Celtic
Hopefully there will be some interest in any of the following :-
Goalkeepers - with FF returning, we need rid of at least 1, sold or loan
Hoedt - Apparently going as he reckons there is a queue of clubs after him
Yoshida - contract expired, so has left the club I presume
Vestergaard - Hopefully the Leicester interest will resurface in August
Danso - The experiment hasn't work, return to sender
Valery - If he doesn't want to be cover for a new signing, sell or loan
Hojbjerg - Off to anyone prepared to pay £25+m for him
Reed - Big step up from Champ to Prem but give a go, or loan / sell
McQueen - Is he alive ? Struggled with injury. Loan, Sell or Release
Sims - At best another loan to US or English Champ club, so sell if poss
Lemina - Take the hit, get him and his ego off our books and sell for £10m
Boufal - 1 yr left, offers little despite his skills, sell whilst he has some value
Slattery - Showed potential but then Smallbone came in. Loan him out ?
Hesketh - Needs another loan, or sell, as probably won't make the grade
Carrillo - Not going to work for us, take the hit and sell to whoever offers £8m
Wow - so many, in fact that is a squad probably capable of staying up in the Championship !! :-) |  |

1 RB - If not KWP, then we were supposed to have a Belgian lined up
Mid - Rumoured to be that Celtic player, but all died a death since FF returned and said he wanted to fight for his place at Saints
Our main midfielders will be :
Redmond, Djenepo, Armstrong, JWP, Romeu, Smallbone and possibly Boufal.
Unless we can get Reed up to speed with the Prem, we will make a signing or 2 here, and hopefully it will be the guy from Celtic and one of Ralph's Austrian or German gems. | |

Nothing in the kitty .
Hoedt gets 3m per year wages from Saints. He will want to preserve his 60k for 2 years instead of 12k from Belgian team. The balance of the 48k pw for 2 years will be paid by Saints (5m).
5.9m (fee) - 5m (wages in advance) = 1m. net.

I see Hoedt is slagging saints off for sticking with Ralph after the 9-0 drubbing by Leicester whereas nearly everyone else is praising saints for sticking with Ralph after Leicester.

He comes across as an arrogant bloke who thinks he’s far better than he is . Good riddance. Yoshida was better although our central defenders On the whole have been average or below over the last few years and this has been pointed out by nearly every saints fan I know but the problem has never been addressed . | |

Astute signings like that are why Burnley have finished above us in the league for 3 years running. Jay Rodriguez, especially, has proved to be a real bargain, and at that price, Reed would be a steal. He's been superb for Fulham this season and I would love to see him given a chance back here again next season. [Post edited 23 Jul 2020 12:28]
