Very depressing performance. The team we have on the pitch currently (with tella and smallbone) would struggle in the champ. Absolutely zero depth.

The players are slow but the defensive set up is atrocious and that sits with Ralph I'm afraid. Why defend so high when all they need to do is put a ball over the top. It's basic stuff and is blatantly obvious. |  |

Most of these players are broadly the same that were sh!te last autumn. They’ve not changed other than for a few weeks while massively over performing at the restart. Why did anyone think that these players would suddenly change to being able to consistently beat teams like Spurs? They’re simply not good enough for anything but a bottom third finish. Nick and others constantly made the point that results glossed over our terrible defending last season.
I cant see how anyone can tell me Stephens is a premier league defender. Lovely guy, not his fault etc, but not good enough.
I also have no faith in Ralph tactically.
His stubborn refusal to change last season put us in huge trouble and he only changed when the players rebelled after conceding 9.
This season hes changed it again and we look all at sea. Everyone can see that.
