| Poor at Villa. Ralph's at it again. 22:07 - Sep 16 with 3728 views | GRIM | What is Ralph doing. Djennepo has looked good pre season & early season playing on the left so Ralph plays him on the right. & he struggles. I just can't work out who's playing where, the set up & shape is all wrong. Ralph just cannot resist playing players out of position. We looked like a bunch of strangers playing tonight. My early season enthusiasm took a knock tonight. | | | | |
| Poor at Villa. Ralph's at it again. on 22:21 - Sep 16 with 2744 views | ElijahK | So yeah he played Djenpo outta position… but who else then? And even then the only reason why Djenpo was on the left side for pre season was because we didn’t have a fullback available to us back then so needed the cover from him, whilst now we do he got moved back to his more natural position of being a winger. As the only player who should never have started today was Elynousie, as he’s been rubbish for ages now an doesn’t look like he’s gonna change that any time soon. So starting 11 wise that’s just 1 player that he got wrong… As today pretty much everyone were rubbish, so I don’t think you can single out a single player or coach for today as they were all rubbish. Still so much for those assistant coaches sorting it all out and being the reason for all the results | |

JWP has morphed back to his old sideways and backwards self. Very disappointed RH has got to start with our best eleven which was probably what we had on the fiend the last 25 minutes. Still will see what he does against Everton.

This is the question, and this is why it’s a management issue. Good managers get consistency out of a team. We beat top sides here and there, then go on mediocre or worse runs.

Because Ralph is incapable of building a team.

I think we all got a bit excited with all the new signings but are we actually any stronger than last season. We had 3 players playing tonight that couldn't get into the side last season. Diallo + Elynoussi + Djennepo weren't good enough last season but are getting regular game time this season. That would suggest we are actually weaker this season. We have a bigger squad but not a better team. We had better players on the bench than on the pitch at Villa. The youngsters we have need tactically astute management to survive in Premier lge & Ralph is not able to provide that. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It will be the same f@cking thing. We will finish something like 15th, if we are lucky. A few good wins, a load of sh!t results - same as every season. It's not gonna change. Every club has their place.

How can he defend that load of shite, what is it with RH that the tw*t cannot see what is going wrong it beggars belief. I was quite buoyed by the signing’s we made, but to leave some of them on the bench in favour of others that were not good enough last season aka, Djenepo, Diallo, Ely just smacks of a manager that really does not want to change or listen to other opinions. No I would rather we played the youngsters we have than just let the overpaid dross take us down the table which will inevitably happen. Ely was crap last year and has continued this season as well, Diallo is championships at best and while Djenepo works hard there is no end result. I feel the the new management will sack him soon.

“Djenepo, Diallo, Ely just smacks of a manager that really does not want to change“ 3 squad players. It is hardly surprising that we don’t fare well if he picks all 3 to start. Has Djennepo ever played on the right before? We shouldn’t play down Villa’s resolute defence, they held Man City off pretty well too. Djennepo has hardly ever shone when played as a winger, Elyounousi has already played out his good patch for the season. There has to be a better team selection for the next game, surely.

| Poor at Villa. Ralph's at it again. on 14:11 - Sep 17 with 1859 views | 1885_SFC | We've lost our last two games 1-0 - both away & both to very poor/sloppy goals - when we should really be getting something at both (Wolves & Aston Villa). These are exactly the kind of games we "should" be winning, or at the very least drawing, if we are going to make any kind of progress at all - ever - under Ralph. We ended up losing both purely & simply because of Ralph's team selection from the kick-off. Will he ever learn? I don't think he will. He's trying to keep the whole squad happy by playing them all - every single one of them. Any manager worth his salt knows however that you pick your very best/strongest side - and stick with them - week after week. But not Ralph. No. He has to change things every single f*cking game. | |

| Poor at Villa. Ralph's at it again. on 14:32 - Sep 17 with 1838 views | GRIM | Ralph always try to out smart the opposition & he overthinks his team selection. Forget it Ralph you're not very good at it. Forget the opposition. Just pick your best players & play them in their best positions. After just 7 games of the new season & the players appear to have lost faith in the manager & his tactics. It's not surprising because like the rest of us they are totally confused. Things will not get any better until Ralph goes. I'm not sure that a new manager will make our bunch of average players champions but it can't get any worse. | | | |

Just play your best team and your best players in their correct position Seems ralphie doesn’t know either of those Also stop trying to out think the opposition just make them do that It’s all looking a bit familiar and tedious now
| Poor at Villa. Ralph's at it again. on 18:37 - Sep 17 with 1624 views | saintwizzler | We are overloaded with wide midfielders and lack central midfielders and strikers. Diallo isn’t good enough but has to play as Lavia is injured. The 4-2-3-1 isn’t working. Back to 4-4-2/4-2-2-2 Same back 4 as last night. A Armstrong on the left S Armstrong on the right JWP and Aribo in the middle Adams and Mara up front Thank me later. [Post edited 17 Sep 2022 19:44]

| Poor at Villa. Ralph's at it again. on 19:13 - Sep 17 with 1602 views | GRIM | Spot on !! Ralph still doesn't know his best players or best team. And he has no idea what system he wants to play. We had absolutely no shape or discipline last night. If you fill the side with experience the players will will determine the system. But we don't have that experience. Lawrie Mac was no tactician but he won the Cup for us by filling the side with older quality players that didn't need telling how to play. | | | |

If it was just him wanting to go back to Spain then fair enough, but if someone pissed him off or the board just wanted to make money then it’s a horrific decision.

Well if it was them wanting to make money then it sure was a stupid decision, as we wouldn’t have sold him for too much, and him staying could’ve probably gotten us finishing quite a few positions higher, which would’ve gotten a lot more money than his transfer wee has!
