Too much gloom & doom from you lot -- YES our team let's face it -- OUR TEAM HAVE BEEN - Bloody awful , mistake after mistake gifting goal after goal.... and the same old - same old from our strickers .... in danger of rather hitting the corner flag and row Z , than actually scoring and i'm as frustrated than most! But what good does moaning do?
Yes it will not be easy at all -- BUT, and it's a BIG BUT -- half the season is still left to play AND we are NOT cast adrift at the bottom, within 4 games we could be in MID TABLE SO LET US ALL get behind Nathan ( Just look at the turn around that he managed with Luton .... yes i know lower league standards ... but discipline/man management and hard work apply to all leagues --- he made things happen over time. ) THE BOARD is backing him with the signing of a world class proven midfielder that scores goals , with others being lined up to join the fight!
Guys , we also have a very young side -- I love JWP , but he is not vocal enough when matches are in progress .... Get us a leader ( I cannot see one in the team at present ) WITH a bloody big BOOMING VOICE TO ORGANISE EVERYONE on the field , and I am certain and have the faith that we will stay in the Premiership .... SO COME ON --- LET US GET BEHIND OUR SAINTS. |  |

You appear to be a Saint in Stoke.
I spoke to an old work mate from Stoke who still lives there and is a big Stoke City supporter. I asked about Jones and he said the bloke should not be near a football team at all - arrogant, tactically inept and a nasty piece of work when things don't go his way - one of the worst things to ever happen to Stoke City FC.

Replies to this post - and I do have respect for others supporters opinions ..... But slagging JONES left, right and center is that REALLY HELPING ? Give the guy a chance PLEASE , YES he does have his own ideas/programmes ....and a different outlooks for goodness sake ! And for the people who point to his managerial record at Stoke City ....Just look at the record of stoke's managers in the last say 20 years have been absolutely pathetic ,even O'neil an ex IRISH manager , couldn't make any headway - my opinion The Coates family( Owners ) head of the most successful bookmakers ever, with their Bet365 and built their new stadium ..... ALTHOUGH they say that they do not interfere with the manager's decisions ...... they literally have every manager's balls - in their grips every day ... just look at any managers Stoke record - let's face it only Hughes had any marginal success -  just look it up! If you want to name a Saints diabolical manager's appointment --- Remember Mauricio Pellegrino  , sacked by Saints , went to Spain with Leganés he got them relegated from La Lega in his first season in charge ...... and as luck would have it Hughes kept us up. The Palace game at the w/e Saints played atrociously , in the first half  ( another gift/mistake !! ) and got a slice of luck to win .... I sometimes wonder if there are any Saints fans on here, OR JUST MOANERS for the sake of it ? - So give Jones a chance for the reasons given in the original thread. PLEASE. | |

I totally understand the fans frustrations and enough is enough after years of bad performances and years of struggle. But the fans keep missing the point. If we then got rid of Jones after getting rid of Ralph, the same people making the bad decisions would appoint the next bad manager on the cheap to develop the young players etc. The people at the very top are the ones really to blame, yet we keep taking it out on the manager.
Give any manager a top striker, an experienced decent defender and an attacking midfielder and they will do much better regardless. It's the people at the top who should be getting the wrath of the fans now. Jones is just one of the other puppets.
Although that said, I really don't feel connected to Jones as a Saints manager and don't think he is the right appointment. I preferred Ralph but appreciate its not Jones fault he was appointed. [Post edited 8 Jan 2023 22:31]
