Can we not do the "big club" (ie Spurs!) thing of phasing payments? So, say pay Arsenal £15m now with the balance on staged payments?
If we go down we sell him knowing we wont get a premium price but say, £20m (against a full market price of £30m) and then spread the remaining £10m (or cover by the inevitable sale of the likes of KWP) if we go down again? |  |

Looks like Wolves are getting Ramsdale on loan with an option to buy. The truth is our Club never really wanted to spend money on a goalkeeper or a centre forward (the 2 positions we really need) ; they want to spend it all on a bunch of midfielders who don't score goals so we can stay top of the league for sideways and backwards passing stats.
