At this rate, we will have more keepers than centre-halves…..

"Feyenoord want his contract to be bought out and Southampton are in talks with director Dennis te Kloese to work this out. The Dutch side will not simply let Bijlow go as they believe he could still secure a decent transfer fee.
They already rejected an offer from Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, considering their offer of ‘a few million’ as ‘scandalous’.

They are more than happy to sell and understand Bijlow’s need to leave given he’s lost his starting role for them and with the Netherlands.

It is expected that, because of that, they will reach an agreement with Southampton quickly over their asking price.

The goalkeeper is being seen as an ideal fit for Russel Martin, who wants a stopper who can play out from the back and is strong in build-up play… and sees Bijlow as a man who can do that."

I wouldn't mind seeing the clips reel that shows all the mistakes he was dropped for, but he certainly looks confident with his feet and seems to meet our requirements. If he's as described this could be very good news. Dare we hope?

Feyenoord's manager (presumably Liverpool's new manager) would just have said that it was on him as he had asked the keeper to piss about with the ball, and that the process should be trusted.....

I was getting quite excited about this signing. Then I saw this.

Boody hell, it looks like we're getting the goalkeeping equivalent of Ross Stewart:

Season..Days..Injuries..Games missed
23/24 121 days.. 2.. 27
22/23 68 days.. 1.. 16
21/22 108 days.. 5.. 27
20/21 144 days.. 6.. 34
19/20 35 days.. 2.. 20
18/19 228 days.. 2.. 65

Don't worry, our medical team can be relied on to spot any prospective sick notes. It's a stringent test. You have to be able to wheel your wheelchair up the corridor and back without stopping.

With his two broken wrists he's going to struggle to even do that.

But he can still use his feet and that’s what you need in goal……

There won't be enough disabled parking bays at St Mary's to accommodate all of our crocks.
