He did a bit of a lap around the pitch yesterday on his own after the game. Rumour has it that Everton have come in for him at about 5 million. We get 5 million now or nothing in the summer. This would make sense for all involved, so I could see this happening. [Post edited 26 Jan 14:39]

I wasn't there yesterday, but this is usually a tell tale sign. As for £5m, I can't see us getting that from a club who are skint and knowing he is out of contract in June. However, they may want to secure his services now, knowing there will be competition for his signature when he is a free agent? | | | |

I’d like to see him at Everton, the fact that he can play in both full back roles is a bonus and he could be a very good upgrade to Ashley Young who has done pretty well to give him credit.
And 5 million is a bit of a steal. | | | |
