Re Cameron Bragg, Alfie House stated in a follow-up post on the same thread on X that he would definitely keep Bragg, and it was a mistake for him to have omitted him from his original "Keep" list.

If the Club have indeed briefed Alfie House, this is yet another egg on face moment for Johannes Spors, whose position is fast becoming untenable.

Many will remember his impassioned speaking up on behalf of Jack Stephens at the last Fans' Forum, when the issue of his ludicrous 3-year contract extension was raised.

It looks like we are going to have to try and limp on to the end of this season, and avoid both a defeat at Fratton and a relegation battle.

But it could take us two years or more to clear up all this mess.

Why would Spors position be untenable, he inherited the situation none of the players who could allegedly be being disruptive were signed under his watch.

If he is briefing the media, it shows he is in charge of the situation.

Not every player who House would not want to keep would be part of the clique, some would be just because in House's own opinion they are not up to the job, ie Romeu, who was not here during Russell Martin and Will Still so would only know Eckert.

As the regard the fans forum, what would you expect, no one is actually going to say anything other than the party line, Spors was hardly going to hold his hands up and say I dont know what the club were playing at

Who's decision would it have been to have given Stephens the 3-year contract extension?

It wouldn't have been Will Still, he had hardly been at the club.

Spors had been there plenty long enough to have worked out whether Stephens was a bad egg. Not to mention a lamentably bad centre-half.

Boo them then. Call them the disgrace that they are. Boo their every touch of the ball. It's all about them isn't it instead of their fans or their club. The greedy, selfish b@staads.

When these players start a game just sing "You lazy, selfish b@staads, you lazy, selfish b@staads. And over and over again.

Spors was at the club for the last few months of the season he joined in February, he would have seen Stephens play 8 times after that in a team that was getting walloped.

I would suggest that Stephens was entitled to a new contract as he had played a certain number of games which is fairly common.

The 3 year deal looked a bit long I agree, but I think the contract itself had to be given to him contractually , it could have been that the extra years were also part of some loyalty deal perhaps in lieu of a testimonial match.

We dont actually know that Stephens is a bad egg (Inm not going argue about his playing ability lol), as i have mentioned we are only speculating about the players that Alfie House would keep, not why he hasnt included certain individuals on his list to keep.

What's the problem at Saints then Nick, if Spors made the right decisons? Why are we losing to the two teams in the relegation zone, Norwich and Oxford? Why have we just been thrashed and embarrassed 4 nil.by a side who spent far, far, far less on their team? Another bad managerial appointment? Disgusting players who don't give a sh!t or a bit of both? Or the players just not good enough? Call out their disgraceful laziness or say it's the terrible recruitment again or call outbthe terrible culture created in the club by the idiots at the top. Who appointed Still and then Tonda? Why did we bring in Romeu? Just a PR stunt maybe? I could fill this page with all the mistakes being made by the idiots who "run" i mean destroy our club. It's a mess isn't it. Call them.out.

As for Stephens, there are plenty of clips of him over a decade. They could have put a few on maybe? They gave him the 3 year contract then didn't play him!!

Imagine the stampede of interest from the fans in a Jack Stephens testimonial match.

Slack Jack is rumoured to be the best leader of men at the club.
That doesn't say a lot about the rest of them.
Also Adam Armstrong spouting off again about the teams lack of effort, he is Captain when Slack Jack s not playing.
Its the Captains job to motivate & make sure his team mates put in a shift.
Adam Armstrong is no more a leader than Kier Starmer.

Let's not forget Stephens' pathetic sendings off, one for child like hair pulling. If he's not a bad egg then he's a rotten apple contaminating the rest of the barrel.

Oh for the old days of useless dickhead players being transfer listed immediately. Imagine the likes of Cloughie or Jack Charlton putting up with that clown.

Is there any other way to give a player a contract other than contractually? Asking for a friend.
