Tonda’s contract with S F C expires in June 2027.
If he receives a lengthy ban it’s not inconceivable that the ban from football will extend beyond the expiry date of his contract.
If S F C employ Edwards ( or for that matter any other coach ) and they are successful,will S F C dispense with his services and reemploy Tonda at the end of his ban ? Seems unlikely to me. [Post edited 25 Sep 9:31]

If the FA give him a lengthy ban for breaking rules and possibly bullying Will Salt, thats what i’m most concerned about, then i would imagine SFC have the right to terminate his employment
I think if he gets a lengthy ban he’ll resign and go back to Germany anyway
He and the club have broken the rules and accepted that, the feeding frenzy from the media, and from what I've read the BBC have been the worst culprit of this does not sit well with me | |

At this stage it’s all guess work I suppose.
Personally, If a lengthy ban is imposed I can’t see any way that S F C will terminate his contract.
Why ? Because it could lead to a disgruntled Tonda making it difficult for those in the management chain above him, given that I’ve never subscribed to the theory that they themselves were unaware of what was going on. Thus,it would make more sense to simplify let his contract run out.
Having said the above, it’s just my personal opinion and I’m not putting it forward as a statement of fact concerning who knew what. [Post edited 25 Sep 11:39]

I sure I echo everyone's feelings and that is, I just wish to christ this flipping saga would end and we get on with the football. I thought my organisation that I would for take long enough to make a decision etc but the FA takes the flipping biscuit. Sick of the whole damn thing.
Whatever the outcome, get on with it, announce it and then lets move on. I almost don't want an appeal option because that drags it out even longer (though I realise why there might be one).
As for the media. They have been awful but to some extent we never dealt with the media side at all. BBC have been so biased and yet you know had it been one of the big 6 it would have been different. A bit like Liverpool with The Sun we as a fanbase and club almost ought to do the same with the BBC and other elements of the media. | | | |

I agree that others knew. Will Salt's direct boss (head of the analyst team?) must have known, even just to sign off his expenses. If that person kept it quiet and didn't tell Spors then he would would have been sacked when this blew up. But no one has been sacked, so that says Will Salt's boss did what any sensible person would do and asked Spors if we should be doing this. So Spors knew and agreed to it.
The blame has all gone on Tonda and he is the main guilty party, but others must be guilty too. | | | |

Remember Tony Pulis being found guilty of illegal betting on games a few years back and was fined £10,000. In my opinion this was a far worse offence than Tonda's so why not a fine for him and move on? The club has already been penalised in the cruellest way already.
