I think that as you say nothing could be done because of the situation and that now they will sit down and talk, the week or so after the verdict was announced saw us playing 3 games so little time for discussions

I think there's a few things in our favor:
Unless it's a CL team, he'll get paid a lot more in England than Germany
He's somewhat damaged goods in the UK - I think most clubs would think twice this season
He has a good relationship with the club and players

That means, of course, Tonda will be offered a new contract and sign it, which is great news for us.
We've never experienced such a great win rate before over 50+ games. We really owe him for that:

I am pretty sure he will be rewarded with a hefty promotion bonus and a contract making him the best paid manager in this division, with a pay rise when promoted.
His record at Saints is ridiculously good.
If promoted I'm pretty sure he'll stay for a year or two as well, in which case, he'll have done bloody well in the Prem too.
