I believe their last home competitive game with a big crowd roaring them on they overhauled a 4 goal deficit to reach the play off final,so not an easy game for Saints,but fear not with Bazuna in goal stopping them scoring and Striker?? Adam Armstrong knocking in the goals what have we to fear??,where is Sulemana who scored two against Liverpool,also if as it looks likely Arsenal sign the Brentford goalkeeper,then why can't we put in a bid for Matt Turner the USA keeper who played so well in the World Cup who presumably will become their number3. |

We won't get anywhere without a decent keeper,Bazuna had the worst shot to goal ratio in the league and is too young,Leicester lost Schmical and went down,Leeds had problems and went down while Everton had Pickford and stayed up,how many times had McCarthy been beaten at the near post and is not good enough,.It doesn't matter who the manager is or what the team is we have to have a goalkeeper who can sometimes win us a match!! |

Why do we persist with forwards that can't shoot ? Why not try Perraud up front or even Walker Peters in a more more advanced role,both can shoot and we need to score.I would also play Willy in goal,he played well against Blackpool and encourages the defence,not the same old formation tonight please,get mad Ruben!!
Having said that I hope I'm wrong and Theo gets a hatrick😂😂 |

Can we stay up with a 20 year old in goal, should be be given a rest, have our defence got confidence in him,would Willy relish the chance against his old club,played well against Blackpool screaming at the defence,seemed pretty fit to me,just a thought! |

As I live near Bognor went to see Bognor play Grimsby in a cup game 3 years ago and it was nice to see they still have a Lawrie McMenamy stand there,also remember Lawrie bringing a certain Ian Turner to keep goal for us also from Grimsby |

Apparently we have strengthened our defence to avoid more second half defeats,however I believe I am right in saying all our goals have ben conceded in the second half,perhaps this is coincidence!.My opinion wrong it may well be is that we bought well and sold well but I would like to see a change in tactics at half time or early in the second half. In the Man U game Ralph brought on Bednarek at half time and changed to a back 5 with Livramento and KWP acting as wing backs which I think worked well-we even looked stronger later in the game! however this did not happen against Newcastle and we looked thin at the back.KWP against Man U replaced Perraud who played well but looked exhausted after an hour.Livramento looked fitter and was able to keep going-but we had at times a five man defence which worked well,only conceding one goal against Man Utd is acceptable.When we press in the first half a back four is ok but when we tire in the second,try a back five! |

Give the guy a chance,we have got rid of so much rubbish this window and have bought what seems to be two good full backs who can push forward and defend and also a good striker,so let's wait and see,many of us were in despair when we saw the team for Sunday but they all did well and more to the point Ralph made the right substitutions changing to a back five in the second half with Diallo and keep coming on later for tired players,If we look at the big picture we are getting it right 😄😄😄 cheer up we drew with Man Utd!! |

We need to tighten our defence obviously, In the last two games when kwp or bertrand have pushed forward and have lost the ball we have been left with only 3 at the back in two big an area to defend,I think we should have 5 at the back including salisu,I also think that moussa could do a job as a wing back instead of kwp,he is fast and stronger,but having 5 at the back is a must or i fear the worst.How about Stevens as a defensive midfielder,Diallo plays too far forward and is not Romeo! I would then play Redmond and Armstong behind Ings.Walcott was awful against wba and would be on the bench for me,I wou!d like to include adams but have built this team around a stronger defence,Stevens always puts his body on the line,played against Liverpool this season and the win against man city last.controversial?

Did anyone else to go the quarter final replays against Forest in 1963,three nil down after 15 mins and an equaliser in the 89th minuite,stayed that way in extra time,then on to white Hart lane where they didn't expect the gate to be 40,000, most of the Saints fans couldn't get in till almost half time!! A great 5-0 win,I managed to get a ticket for the semi at Villa park but had flu,never been so disappointed,it was a cold winter 63!! |

It is surprising is it not that as far as I can tell there are few calls for Ralph's head,I think most proper fans believe Ralph really cares about Saints and sympathize with him when the result does not go our way,I have posted about how I think we have many positives and I really think he could be our best manager since Lawrie given time and our ability to keep him,when we were winning all the time there was speculation about him going to Man U and Chelsea.Maybe we should lose 9-0 every now and again to keep the vultures away😇.Be patient have faith in Ralph,if we can finish in the top ten and maybe a good cup run,that's a big improvement. |

Looking at the bigger picture i believe we at heading in the right direction,maybe we have just got to stick it out,Players such as Valery and Vokins being loaned out were the right decisions ,yes we are very fragile when our first eleven get injured,but our first eleven play very entertaining football and many have improved no end under Ralph,Players brought in like Kyle and Theo have been a success yes I know about Salisu but let's wait and see!.Unfortunately the academy players are looking a bit out of depth at the moment and are not filling the gaps (I missed Diallo from succeses).Another two of three signings in the Summer will help,So players have improved massively under Ralph,and it looks like we are not buying the rubbish we have bought in previous years.so bear with!! |

Brilliant way of putting your point dorsetian,however when the tank is full and we are firing on all cylinders i still think we can give anyone a game in the league however we have veered of the road because of injuries which begs the question why do we have so many? Solskjaer in the paper thought it was due to the high press high energy game we play,maybe he is right,so if we continue to play this way the problem will continue only resolved by a bigger in depth squad which we can't afford |

Thanks Salisbury saint,about the insult which I think was directed at me,no need for it,I think we are both on the same wavelengh,only expect the unexpected with Saints it helps to cope with defeat better and makes the highs like beating Liverpool so much more incredibly enjoyable,like you I can't imagine supporting another club and have been watching since the old third division south days of Derek Reeves and Terry Paine |

Look,following Saints is a rollercoaster,we topped the league,we beat the champions,knock the holders out of the fa cup and lose 9 nil.The highs are much higher than the so called top six as we have fewer and when we lose we make a bloody good job of it,can't wait for us to beat Man U in the Cup Final!
