While I share your concerns about our kids futures, I think it is wrong to link Trump and Boris.
I think fundamentally Boris is a clown, joker and a chancer but think he has some sense of history, his place in the world and some sense of right and wrong.
Trump is altogether different. Psychologically he is clearly a narcissist who is interested only in himself. This deep flaw lets him believe that whatever he does MUST be right because he does it. He has absolutely no sense of 'decency' - his attacks on anyone he dislikes regardless of their history of service to the US shows that - and he does not acknowledge any of the rules (constitutional or of international law) that are meant to govern the US or the world.
He is only about power, his power, maintaining it and using it whenever he feels like. 'Hard men' dictators throughout history have had popular support - he is no different. Their reigns usually end in tears for them and for their countries.
Messiah currently on Netflix is an interesting series. Against a backdrop of the Israel Palenstine conflict also highlights how messed up the USA is when it comes to foreign policy. Think Homeland with religion thrown in.
