Don’t you think it would be odd to elect a president just because he is black? The end point surely is that who ever is elected treats all of their country folk the same and works hard to give equal opportunities and treatment to all. The American system discounts a great many potentially excellent presidents (no matter what colour) because you have to get a lot of money/power behind you. We have a more democratic system but still no PM from the ethic minorities. It will happen one day, but it shouldn’t be a tick box exercise, it should be because they are the best person for the job.
