How have we become so slow and lacking invention???

Maybe an inform Ings not only scored goals but gave the opposing defence something to think about nd therefore create space for our team etc.
Once his form dropped off so did our performance nd confidence.

I think the players are no longer responding to Ralph and his methods. Every manager has a shelf life. As good as Ralph has been for us it is probably his time now. God knows who we get in but some sort of energy from the team and new ideas to motivate them is definitely needed.

We can't afford it. It would cost millions to pay Ralph off. And there tells you the real problem at the club.

But in the other hand, our players have given up, yet again. They arn't showing they care. Utter dross.

If we’ve taken out a £70m loan then what’s another £5m to add on to the debt mountain? Honestly I’d say this is as worse if not worse than the Harry Redknapp relegation season. If we do stay up we’ll be relegated next season unless there’s major changes.

This is even getting worse from minute to minute. Bertrand? Is there really any team that needs such a disinterested player?
Redmond and Djenepo, both of whom are obviously not ready for the Pl, are brought on when you chase a game?
2 non PL ready GKs, 2 DM just kaing backward passes, a CD that might fight but doesn't play football... Oh well.

Armstrong is our only hope, and he's having a bad day - despite that you can't take him off. RH should have taken off Djenepo or Redmond right away, to state how shite they are performaning.

And Noone seems to have ever heard that you have to "fight" relegation...

It always is these days, even when we are behind and need to not only get 1, but 2 goals.
Can't believe how much we have given the ball away today - it's criminal.
As for all the backward passes as well !!
We aren't up for it today and have been carrying a few players as always.

I made a comment a couple of months back deriding the constant back and sideways passing and was immediately put in my place with replies such as 'that's the manager's way and it works' etc.
It clearly doesn't.
If he wasn't already employed I'd take Fat Sam right now.
It's a familiar pattern now with Hassenhutl, illogical line ups, unusual to strange tactics, and when it doesn't work, throw subs at it and see what happens.

5 mins on clock and they still insist on pissing around playing side to side creating absolutely nothing.

I have to be honest and no matter how much Nick dresses it up, but I really am not enjoying watching Saints at all. In fact, it has got to the point where I dread us playing. So we may or may not beat Bournemouth but then what - can you seriously see us beating the other sides remaining in the cup?

I complained how difficult it is to watch Newcastle or West Brom but today we have been no better than them.

This is a team that is demotivated, too many players who don't want to play for us and want to leave to pastures new and a manager that seems tactically inept at times and is certainly no longer inspiring his squad to want to win at all costs.

Anyone notice how Brighton win EVERY header?

FFS...

I can't remember ever seeing us lose so many 50/50 balls in midfield to a team near the foot of the table. We lost all of them.

Poll: Who will win the Premier League this season?

Saints V Brighton Matchday Thread on 13:58 - Mar 14 with 686 viewsSaintsforeverj

That was terrible. But what can we do? We can't afford to change the manager, and apart from a new manager bounce, I doubt it would change much long term? Hughes, Pellegrino, Ralph, does it matter or change anything? The point is, the players know they are playing for a club with no ambition, top players are leaving and we lack quality. So where is the motivation?

Exactly. We lost just about every 50/50 header there was. So who wanted to win that game more???

We made Brighton look good.
Absolute rubbish, sideways passing, no urgency no leadership.
It would help if we stopped buying injury prone players too.
Ralph has no plan B,bringing on a young forward with 4 min to go was ridiculous

Saints V Brighton Matchday Thread on 14:01 - Mar 14 with 646 views10i

The last attacks where: Djenepo shite twice, JWP once sprinting towards FF and making a back pass to him starting deep in their half, and the other time clearing a really good long ball for their defence and finally Redmond turning and running towards FF.

We only have one (!!!) player able to constantly make good forward passes from the 7 defensive ones and that is JV. Romeu/Diallo sometimes at least try, but that's it, and that is why we are so poor to watch.

Got to the point where I really don’t give a shit anymore
As much as I admire RH
Defensively we are shocking beyond belief
No organisation// no playing as a team
Too easy to open up
Playing from the back without the capability to so

Funny how people are accused of bed wetting

However watching this shite goes beyond bed wetting

There is an element of lack of fitness to it. Like Klopp Hassenhutl has flogged these players to death and they can only play high tempo press which they are now too knackered to do. Saying that there are players simply not good enough or don’t seem to be that bothered. There is no leadership on the pitch either. JWP is no captain he should bd ripping into the players. All in all if we stay up this season then without significant investment then we are nailed on for relegation next year.

Like many I am not sure what has happened.

Serious question though about where we get 6 points or so needed to stay up.

As for Minamino tearing around like a rabbit on speed, give me strength. He looks if a strong wind would blow him over.
I don't rate our chances against Bournemouth with this lot.
