Unsurprisingly Nick backs the club over the Saints fans .
I saw a bottle / pint glass (plastic) get thrown from the Everton section into the saints section - untill that point I thought there’s was no trouble etc from then things seemed to get worse .
What were thses so called 27 misisles that got thrown ? Or was it just a couple but reported several times ? Where’s the evidence?
Why is it always saints fans that get chucked out or have our blocks closed off ? Are the club saying it’s only Saints fans that cause any so called trouble ?
Seeing as the club bend over backwards for away fans why don’t they for once look after there own fans ? Leave 300 seats empty in the away blocks and place police stewards on both sides of the divide ? Why should Saints fans have to suffer when we give over 300 more seats to away fans than we have to ?
Just like cup games the club seem to bend over backwards to accommodate visiting fans .
On the subject of Saturdays game there were several groups of Everton fans in blocks 4 & 5 a couple were allowed in wearing there Everton shirts . Then when they cheered for both goal Several fans had had enough and called for the stewards to eject them - but it took over 5 minutes for them to do this ?
Why were obvious fans allowed through the turnstiles? Why did it take over 5 mins to sort out dispite sever fans mentioning this to various different stewards ?
I noticed when they finally came up to eject them one was in a club suit and tie - is he this new cheif safety rep ?
As my mate said if he wanted to sit next to an Everton fan he would have got a ticket with the Everton fans .

This, unfathomable that the club administration cannot see this and sort it. It is like punishing the older kid when they retaliate to the younger one for being an @rse. Punish, double down, alienate your own fans, doh!

God i wish the club would spend their money in more useful ways, like banning anyone that vlogs for life
Not everyone can go to games mate but they like a fans perspective, normally not my cup of tea either but it's a global internet thing now.
I have friends in New Zealand who I've sent shirts, programmes scarfs etc and they also lap up all the you tube and internet stuff.
They have also spent more on merchandise from the saints shop in a couple of seasons than I have in over a decade . My point is vlogs and internet fan TV stuff is big BUSINESS,not only for the vlogger but also the club.
I'm surprised The Ugly inside TV didn't continue it's coverage with young Freddie at the helm....( What happened to that Nick? ) I'm sure a few choice words would have been said on camera after the game about the Everton fans behavior/our lot getting the shit for it.
keep the faith coyr

Don't call the ref a w@nker or call the celebrating / goading away fans any name at all, even if they are sat next to you. Let them cheer in your face and let them do what they like on their side of the barrier in the away end.
Know that the away fans will not be spoken to by security. They fill out the away end and seats in the home end, filling the club's coffers. We need the custom from the rich PL supporting tourists.
Accept that away fans will have free reign to goad, throw missiles and celebrate their likely win, directed at all the miserable Saints fans trooping out. Just keep your head down, ignore them, dodge the missiles rather than throwing back and be good. Don't say a word. They can stand, sing and take the p. Just accept it and keep quiet.
Don't call an opposing player a name. It's highly offensive and totally unacceptable.
Remember to walk around the ground the right way before and after the game. Follow the one way system to the letter. The only ground in the PL that you can't walk around freely, but we are animals at Saints, don't forget. We have a very dangerous element of our support, so just quickly and quietly get to your stand before you get hurt. You can't have any contact with away fans, at least until we all meet at the junction of Britannia road, and coming out of the footbridge (that's if you don't get squashed in there before) when ofcourse that is ok.
And whatever you do, don't f@cking swear.
The solution???
Wear an away shirt and you will be treated with respect. Away fans first at SFC.
Or, go to theatre instead where you can clap quietly. I tried that, and it's much more entertaining - trust me. And so is the local poetry reading society.
Although, got a ticket for Eastleigh v Chesterfield Saturday. Never been before but former Saints friends say it's much better and they now support Eastleigh.

I didn't have an issue with the Ugly outside the ground, was always a bit of a laugh that, but those gurning gimps filming themselves in the ground do my f*cking head in.
If i was stuck next to a gimp filming his face at an away day i'd let him know pretty quickly to put his phone away or have it end up on the floor, because they have no right to film me.
Also it's in direct breach of the ground regulations so should be stopped if the club are going to suddenly take these things seriously

And it will make no apology for doing so.
In reality home fans that attend are a loss making activity. The real money comes from TV fees as clubs found during the lockdown. Stewarding, police and stadium costs far outweigh the income from home fans. It is only the tv companies insisting on real atmosphere that stop some clubs playing in empty stadiums. Away fan allocation will mean some fans would be present.
Only a matter of time before games are played behind closed doors with advanced CGI providing the customer “atmosphere”

And if your team win something, clap politely from the stands, do not go on the pitch to celebrate as your team will be fined hundreds of thousands.
FFS.
Good job Saints don't win anything. They'd shut the ground and 28,000 people would have 5am wake up calls and be arrested ...

Don’t mind the start of the second one you’ve named! As I certainly wouldn’t complain if more did that

To be fair the fans in there were warned, they carried on doing their fancy dress green street sh*t and it got closed.
Annoying for people I agree but it's their own fault. If they want to get involved do it outside the ground, otherwise stop doing the pantomime bollocks and grow up.
When you were a kid did you act like a dick? I’m guessing yes, stop being such a sanctimonious old git. The people who run the club gave no idea.
And they arn't selling individual tickets in blocks 35 to 39 for future home games by the looks of it. All the remaining games, including Sheff Wed have all those sections blocked out as well as blok 1,2 and 3.

Don’t disagree the people that run the club have no idea, but this isn’t down to them it’s been mandated by outside people.
We’ve all acted pr*cks down the years but the lot there now are just playing fancy dress and were told what would happen. They should act shocked when it does.

'Stewarding, police and stadium costs far outweigh the income from home fans'
So with 30,000@ a lowish average of 35£ = £1.05m,just over a million a game min, probably a lot more.
100 old bill @ 200£ for the afternoon =20k (over egged figure) 200 stewards @ 50£ =10K (probably over egged figure)
Tell us about the other stadium costs that far outweigh the over a million£ income from each home game?

Doubtful of that, as you’ve also got all the matchday revenue they make from the bar/food sales, hospitality sections, matchday programs etc, which I’m sure makes them a lot of money. And even then many of the tickets bought aren’t just £35 with many regular ones costing up to like £60 for certain areas of the stadium. As the club would never be wanting or allowing to make a negative profit from any part of their matchdays, and yeah most money will be coming in through TV rights deals, sponsors etc, but they’ll still make money outta the fans, and certainly won’t be loosing any.

They built a wall we closed a block, one club doesn’t want proper fans in the ground
Can't see even a wall here. Much more dangerous stuff going on here than at St Mary's. Seats being thrown, fireworks. It's a f@cking joke that our small band of young wannabes, celebrating a goal are anything like the West Ham mob. Yet, you can walk all the way around West Ham ground and no blocks closed. Sorry I don't trust Saints at all saying they have to close blocks, yet West Ham don't have to. Just look at the scenes.

I think the wall is the other side of the away fans, as it joins the corner of the side stand.

FWIW I wouldn’t be that fussed if they put a wall up between the Itchen North and the away fans.
They should just do it and re-open Block 1. Would be better for the club financially as well, I imagine.
Precisely. The club doesn't want the fans there. They want fans to sit there and clap politely and want rid of the loud ones. They could put a temporary netting / fabric wall between the fans and a row of stewards on both sides. Ask yourself why the club would rather close the section, even though no other club in the premier league has, including clubs like West Ham, Leeds and Chelsea who have much rougher fans than ours.

I was hoping when we got a Serbian owner he’d be up for creating a bit of passion but it seems he’s left it to Semmens etc to sanitise us. Awful club at the moment doing all it can to wind up its core fan base.
