There was an interesting piece on the news yesterday evening regarding the work being done on the French coast. This is quite successful by stopping migrants entering the water, slashing boats arrests ect but clearly not successful enough. Jointly funded by the UK with night surveillance helicopters and ground forces, this is where IMO we need to concentrate the financial resources. 70 miles of coastline is hard to manage, but it has to be done.
But it will not be Karma for our Grandchildren or there children because they will be the ones fighting to stop the British people having to kneel down and pray to Allah, do people honestly believe if this influx continues that everyone will get along in perfect harmony and these people abide by our laws and rules it is more of a case of a perfect storm brewing and slowly building.

However, as a causal issue I’d say it’s down the list behind:
- Inflation - A stagnant economy - Low wages - Cost of housing - Lack of house building by successive governments - Families with multi-generational unemployment - Mortgage rates - Landlords leaving the market - The boom in student accommodation - Energy prices - Fuel prices

Ireland is also struggling with its illegal immigration an which is having proportionally a huge impact on its population and with it a mirror of what local communities are experiencing here .

There’s definitely truth in your points.
Bearing in mind that the vast majority of immigrants are economic migrants who’ve propped up the economy on one hand, but kept wages low on the other.
I’m not denying the impact of immigration for one second. I just feel the wrong people are blamed a lot of the time.

Yet 40% of the population there is foreign born. Do they themselves have the means to support themselves on anrrival? Are they paying the same rent or costs as the rest of us would have to pay? If not, who is paying for it? Why are British people essentially being priced out of their own capital city when people coming from abroad get it for free immediately on arrival.
It’s a similar story in big cities up and down the country. There seems to be an inherent unfairness to it all which is a huge reason why it is such an emotive subject.

There is foreign wealth in London that is off the scale , Russians in particular have been welcomed into the capital with open arms and even into the House of Lords ! So have persons born in the Gulf States , China , India . The list goes on and on ... They clearly have the means to support themselves , although how they achieved the means is highly contentious in some instances . They buy or rent in a way that mere mortals can only dream of . They have driven up prices in one sector of the market . But at the extreme you have landlords exploiting the foreign nationals who work , if they can , in low paid poor quality jobs , in some cases having entered illegally on an illegal basis . My daughter and her boyfriend live in a one bed flat in South London , they are from Swansea , the rent is astronomical but in particular my daughter can only do the job she does in London . In effect she is an economic migrant !
