In other news my very old profile picture will just not change. It keeps saying it has uploaded, but not changing. It lies! Now this is just as exciting as the game!
Looks like Alcarez starting something after the whistle. I though he did well not to get involved during the game given his temperament - guess he's been told to save it for after the whistle!

Good win and we resiliently held out. A very scrappy game and not pretty, but a very vital win. Another win needed Saturday. Top two seem a long way ahead though. We need a long winning run to catch up.

Well, that's Not been glorious and we needed some help from the ref, but a win is a win. Nearly All of the subs have been shocking. At first shocking that RM brought them on the pitch, and the shocking in their Performance...

Not an easy place to go and get three points under the lights. Crowd looked very sparse tonight, I guess live on Sky + 8pm KO contributed. Grumps, you're not wrong about the Ref! I'd be livid if I was a Stke fan - but it was nice for us to not be on the receiving end of the crap decisions for a change. As a general observation, I'd say we now seem to have a half decent team, as in starting XI, but perhaps lack the like for like quality from the bench. I think AA or Sulemana, or Che for that matter, would have buried the chance Mara had a few minutes from the end of normal time. All said and done, great to come away with 3 points - wonder if any retrospective action will be taken for the post match rumble on the pitch? Hope no Saints players get any retrospective cards - if they even do that in this League...

That he should have come on instead of Mara!!!!!
Just remember that Adams is refusing to sign a new deal and wanted a transfer. He wants to leave the club, so his attitude and effort levels are in question. We don't want a player on the pitch who doesn't want to be here.

Of course he should but as someone else pointed out I am sure his attitude is to leave the club so he is gonna sit out a lot of games Funny when you look at sulemana and he seems to have got his head down now Does Che think not playing will get him a move? I am not sure that always works out

Commentator described it as Gritty rather than Glorious. Just about sums it up. But it's 3 valuable points, that's the difference that clean sheets make. OK the substitutions were needed because we had some tired legs out there but the changes hurt us. We had no threat going forward, no one to hold the ball up & it just kept coming back at us. Can someone please try to convince me that Joe Aribo offers anything. One of his previous team mates described him as languid, I think that is flattering because he is down right Lazy, you bring subs on to make a difference, the only difference he makes is that he makes us worse. But onward & upward.

Adams wanted out and will more than likely be off in the January window. We have the Sunderland injured bloke who isn’t far off apparently. Mara put himself about when he came on.

Thought Aribo for once was excellent in added 10 mins, holding on to the ball winning free kicks and throw ins

We still seem to give the ball away in key areas. Manning got away with a lot.
Much is said about Aribo and Mara, which I agree with, but I am also struggling to see how much influence Smallbone has on games. Granted, he had one good block, but seems happy sitting in midfield playing 'tippy tippy' football, which creates nothing, other than to improve his passing stats.
I'll savour the result for time being, but can't help think we got away with that one last night.
