Top 3 worst Saints managers on 11:54 - Apr 7 with 1098 views | SaintNick | Not sure why Pellegrino is at number 2, he was in charge for 30 Premier League games and had us on 28 points from those games 0.93 points per game, just outside the relegation zone and also in FA Cup quarter finals, Mark Hughes did marginally better to keep us up with 8 points from 8 games and then followed that up with 9 points from 14 before being sacked so with 0.77 points per game is worse than Pellegrino. Nathan Jones was also terrible 3 points from 8 games. So yes Redknapp is good for top spot, Juric probably 2nd and then Jones 3rd

Top 3 worst Saints managers on 12:39 - Apr 7 with 998 views | City_boy | Looking at this list of managers, we have had so many bad ones, picking the 3 worst is almost impossible. I wouldn't disagree with your chosen three, but I struggle to give Branfoot a reprieve from a top 3 spot I would also include Martin, just for his sheer arrogance and reluctance to change, when it was obvious his style was not working. But Pellegrino had van Dijk for most of those games (until he went on strike) plus a side that had got to the League Cup Final and 8th place in the previous season. And then insisted we spunk a shedload of cash on Carillo instead of Raul Jiminez. Unbelievable. He should have got a whole load more points with the squad he had.

Top 3 worst Saints managers on 14:39 - Apr 7 with 817 views | hortonsaint | Given Martin got promotion and the unbeaten record, I wouldn’t put him in the top worst 3. He’d be in my top 3 most hated though, ditto Redknapp. For me: Branfoot (ruined my prime years of following Saints) Jones Juric Honourable mentions for Gray/Wigley/Martin/ Redknapp/Poortvielt/Wotte (though in fairness they had a thankless task) Pellegrino. God we’ve had some rubbish. Selles had to pick up the car crash legacy of Jones and I felt he had potential to be a good manager so gets a free pass from me.

Van Dyke was half arsed for most of the games he played that season, his head had been turned by Liverpool. Mark Hughes took over and basically got the same results with the side we had, the first 15 or so games under Pellegrino saw us get 18 points but then Van Dyke starts to play up and we only have Austin & Gabbiadini up front, Virtually every manager who gets sacked should have got more points with the squad he had, even Martin and Juric

Correct, he's not even in the worst top ten, allowing for all of the interim and temporary managers. In fact, statistically he is better than Merrington, Souness, Gray and Jones.

Top 3 worst Saints managers on 19:29 - Apr 7 with 552 views | LondonSaint76 | 1 - Redkrapp 2 - N.Jones 3 - Branfoot With half a dozen others worth more than a dishonourable mention. Although Branfoot didn’t get us relegated, despite his best efforts, he was the moron who actually dropped Matt Le Tiss for several games. The quality of MLT’s two goals v Newcastle upon his reinstatement into the team showed just what an utter prat Branfoot really was. As for Redkrapp, never wanted to be here, referred to the team in post match interviews as ‘they’ not ‘we’ - so, they had a slow start, not we had a slow start. Only took the job to p1ss off the Caravan Utilising Nomadic Traveller (great acronym!) East European owner of the Sk8’s after they’d had a ‘toys out of the pram’ spat about something or the other…
