Jim Magilton
Paul Moody
Trevor Hebberd (I think...)

Struggling a bit.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

Steve Basham

There’s also an obscure fullback but as a newcomer here I don’t want to tread on some else’s toes

Martin Foyle also I think. Did he score against us in the 3-0 drubbing we got in 1985? Phil Kite was in goal and had a bit of a mare if I recall.

I played football against steve basham at schools level, remember him being a proper dirty bast*rd (but also a very good player)

Didn’t we sign Wright and Cassells together ?
Was it a buy one get one free deal ?
Mark Wright was a good player. I still have nightmares when he collided with Shilton and broke his leg against Liverpool.
It was a fa cup semi final at white hart lane. I was standing just behind Shilton and heard the crack of his leg breaking.
Merry Christmas 😬🙈

Having looked it up Wright and Cassells were a double swap deal for George Lawrence and Trevor Hebberd

Was probably a bit too young to appreciate how good Mark Wright was

That cup semi final was my first "away" game. A Spurs supporting uncle got me, my dad and brother tickets on the lower tier of the new posh stand
Don't remember a lot about the day as I was 11 but Wright breaking his leg and Kevin Bond not getting enough on a header back to Shilton and Ian Rush nipping in to score do stick out
Thinking back we never really laid a glove on them and did well to get to extra time but I may well be wrong about that

That was my first away game too.
Your right they totally dominated us and we did well to hang on to get to extra time.

Mark Wright was the best centre back we have had in the last 50 years in my opinion , totally class, loved watching him play. I was at that game too. When you think of all the semi finals we’ve been in (all competitions) in the last 55 years we really should have won more trophies . Ive seen them all 9 or 10 off the top of my head .

Poll: Would you take an Fa Cup win if it meant relegation to the championship ?
