Mark Wright was a good player. I still have nightmares when he collided with Shilton and broke his leg against Liverpool.
It was a fa cup semi final at white hart lane. I was standing just behind Shilton and heard the crack of his leg breaking.

Having looked it up Wright and Cassells were a double swap deal for George Lawrence and Trevor Hebberd
Was probably a bit too young to appreciate how good Mark Wright was
That cup semi final was my first "away" game. A Spurs supporting uncle got me, my dad and brother tickets on the lower tier of the new posh stand
Don't remember a lot about the day as I was 11 but Wright breaking his leg and Kevin Bond not getting enough on a header back to Shilton and Ian Rush nipping in to score do stick out
Thinking back we never really laid a glove on them and did well to get to extra time but I may well be wrong about that | | | |

Mark Wright was the best centre back we have had in the last 50 years in my opinion , totally class, loved watching him play. I was at that game too. When you think of all the semi finals we’ve been in (all competitions) in the last 55 years we really should have won more trophies . Ive seen them all 9 or 10 off the top of my head . |  |
