Let me say, I agree with the action of finding and deposing illegal immigrants but Trampie’s likening of ICE to the SA in Germany is a good one. They feel they can act with impunity because they have the complete backing of the government and are behaving like pack animals and beyond the law.
Did the ICE agent need to shoot her? Not in my opinion. Was his life genuinely under threat? I don’t think so, he could easily have got out of the way. Indeed, he did whilst managing to get three shots off on target!

There's been a 1300% increase year over year violence against these public servants, and often it's been in the form of vehicular assault.
It's dangerous enough of a job right now, as we are counting on ICE to drive out the human trafficking (a sanitized 21st century phase that means "literally slavery") that exploded in 2021 when the Weekend at Bernie's Administration turned the border into the Wild West.

As one gets older Boundy , one becomes more detached from contemporary life I feel that way anyway It seems these days , we all know the truth , we all know better when fact is we actually know NOTHING We think this is down to our superior knowledge and analysis and it’s why society today is dumber than it actually is

I think you are looking at the comment as a literal comparison. It’s not. It is analogous for the reasons I’ve already stated.
I’d like to see the UK have a more effective version of ICE but I wouldn’t sanction operatives going around shooting those who have an alternative opinion. In my opinion, the ICE agent was not in any way in any danger from the car. It is a poor justification for him being trigger happy.

I paid $2.29/gal here in NC; it's probably lower in SC since their state tax is less. Trump said his aim is to get price down to $2 or lower. If that happens, then prices for other things will drop as well due to lower transportation costs. Airline ticket prices have fallen as well.

Indeed. I've always thought the metrics for inflation were flawed because they don't take into account the way the price of petro (particularly diesel) drives the cost of everything that is transported to store shelves.

May, 2016. CNN does a segment entitled "A Day with ICE in a so-called Sanctuary City."
CNN literally rode around with ICE from the break of dawn until nighttime, watching while ICE conducted raids and arrested illegals. ICE arrested some right at their jobs.
CNN was not criticizing ICE. They were celebrating ICE. It was "exclusive access" during the Obama years and CNN considered it a privilege to get to watch ICE work.
ICE even made a "mistake" arrest. CNN had no problem with it.
Six months later Trump won the election and ICE was then labeled the gestapo.
