1. We seem to now have a youth firm of around 30 Burberry clad 16-18 year olds that go home and away and made a bit of a noise at Hillsborough, both at half time and during the game.
2. It was nice to be able to park about a 10 minute walk to the ground on the street
3. Went to a nice little back street pub that was still a working class boozer, warm welcome, if I had had a pint of carling it was under £4 and a pint of cruz campo was £4.80 . Guinness £4.50, no frills sadly there are few pubs like this left in Southampton.
4. Hillsborough is looking tired which is sad, its a traditional looking ground , but in fairness its all been built since the 1960's
5. I thought the keeper should have done better for their goal, but did redeem himself with that late save |  |

A beer from one of the kiosks outside the Betlin Olympic Stadium was €6 I think (I had both my offspring with me, so I sent them to the bar). However, you got €2 back when returning your plastic cup (or gave it to one of the entrepreneurial gentlemen of the road, who returned it for you 🙂)

Re 1. Yes I’ve noticed them On away games. I know many won’t like it and find it cringeworthy but I say fair play to them they’re only having fun at a young age and keeping the Saints support going. When I last went to Fulham I walked into a pub which was full of these lads having a good time with saints flags all over the pub and they weren’t causing trouble. |  |

We binned the game off at halftime as the Irish pub we were in pre match had a live music session and we wanted to watch/listen to that instead.
What was amazing is how the 30 odd 'lads' could not move the barrier between them. I moved it very easily and myself and my mate causally strolled out past the stewards and old bill and made our way back to the boozer.

Ran 2 coaches from Salisbury to game, we weren’t allowed to stop anywhere on way back,but managed to get out of convey between Oxford and Newbury for a couple of pints

Yes I was there .Great support, the line of coaches just went on and on never seen so many.
The smoke bomb was orange if I remember rightly .
We haven’t won much but Over the years we’ve had some really great days out supporting Saints , semi finals, finals, European games . Great times. | |

Wednesday away must have been about 8,000. For some reason we had about 2/3rds of the upper tier, with home fans on the last part (closest to the triangle terrace on the corner) which was a recipe for trouble.
As you say coaches went on for a fair bit up that hill away from the ground.
Know the lad who threw the smoke bomb (well ahead of his time given today’s pyrotechnics), met him recently at a wake in Shirley. He got put away in Guys Marsh for a short spell for throwing it!!!
We bumped in to the Wednesday lot outside the Wagon after they had been “asked to leave” the Lord Louis, they weren’t happy!!
