It was inside the box, so I guess it doesn't count as a 'long ranger', but Shea Charles scored a not dissimilar goal to make it 4 against Leicester - that one with his left foot!

James Beattie v Chelsea [A] 01/01/2002

Beattie's first of two goals against Chelsea on New Years Day 2002. A superb free kick from distance to put us 1-0 up early on. Chelsea led 2-1 at the break but we had a great second half to come back into the game winning it 4-2 with Beattie getting the 4th to put the tin lid on a Chelsea comeback.

It is the second goal on the show reel . blink and you will miss it!

Matt Le Tiss v Norwich City [H] 27/02/1990

Perhaps one of the less mentioned of the out of the ordinary Le Tiss goals, his third for his hat trick and Saints fourth of the night against Norwich City. I just love the simplicity pf it, just two Saints players touch the ball from the edge of the Norwich box to the back of the Saints net.
