The Oxford manager asked the referee to measure how close the advertising boards were to the touchline before the game, and they had to be moved back slightly as they are only allowed to be 2.25 metres close. I watched the staff using rolls of tape to stick those boards together not long before kick-off, so it was pretty obvious. At one time the Oxford player taking a throw-in had one foot in front of the boards and one behind them. He couldn't quite work out what to do. To be fair he still threw the ball quite a long way, but perhaps a yard or two shorter than it would have been if he'd had a run-up.
Eckert is a totally ruthless manager, like no one we've ever had before. Watching his eyes in the post-match interview, he still looked ready to kill anyone who'd try to stop him winning. [Post edited 21 Mar 21:57]
