1. Nice little town and they were quite friendly, I first went there in 1979 and there is nothing left of the ground from back then.
2. As a kid I went through Preston train station quite a lot, but this was only the 2nd time I have walked out the station, it's a lovely Victorian station though.
3. Preston City centre appeared to be just one straight street about 1/2 mile long
4. Their crowd wasn't very vociferous, their singing end appeared to be about 20 lads plus one with a drum.
5. Our away support was superb, got right behind the team

Nice town Nick and nice people. I was pleased our fans clapped their under 21's and womens team and also engaged with the after match fun with the little kids at our end. Pity there were some stupid childish fans in the back row behind me who set off flares and broke a couple of seats. They got a mouthful from various people and disappeared but as good as our support was there always seems to be a little mindless few even in our fanbase.

Drove up - parked at the White Hart pub and had a few in there before walking to the ground, so didn't see any of the town itself. 2. 1 lucky person in our car had a free £20 bet on his betting app, so he put it on THB to score at any time at 15/2 !! 3. Great away following considering the distance and the fact that it was a bit of a nothing game for some. Not the number of absentees that were expected - in fact many that were not originally going had picked up tickets on the cheap, or for free and came to join the party !! 4. New ground for 3/4 of our car 5. Whilst taking a Pit-Stop at Warwick services on the way home, it was great that the official Saints coach also stopped there and that many of the players venture inside the services to a mass of applause and selfy requests.

I didn't take any selfies, but I can assure you that the team definitely stopped at Warwick Services and they were indeed on the Official Coach !!
After seeing them, we did discuss for the next 10 miles or so, whether they should or could have flown up to say Liverpool, Manchester or even Blackpool (private) and coached it from there.
1 of our 4 in the car then mentioned some eco controversy not so long ago when Liverpool flew to an away game at Leicester ? Perhaps you are now only allowed to fly if it is over a certain distance ?

1. After a long train journey but relaxing as had seats booked, met friends in Blackpool Friday night. Young farmers weekend so many groups of kids but wasnt bothered.
2. Saturday . Blackpool to Preston by train then uber to the The White Hart which was full of saints.
3. Superb support from saints very loud you could see the players appreciated our efforts at the end.
4.Ridiculous prices for beer in the pubs. I managed to find a guinness for £3.80 i mentioned this to one of the locals in another pub he replied" its£ 3.50 in here mate."
5.Deepdale looks impressive from the outside. a nice ground about the right size for them. Their fans i found to be very friendly .
