I thought he might have made a decent defensive midfielder.
He wasn’t tall enough, fast enough or strong enough to be a commanding centre-half. |
He was 6ft 1, Harwood Bellis is just under an inch taller, as a central defender I think he had a bit of pace, we used him ore on the right which highlighted he wasnt fast enough to be a wing back.
In terms of strength I think he would have complimented THB as he could play with his feet a lot better | |

He was highly rated, but never showed anything at Saints.
Probably didnt help that Will Still was the manager when he played. But then Tonda didnt play him and was happy for him to go.
Plus Its easier to look good in a poor team like QPR. |  |

He played the full 90 mins of the Saints v QPR game at St Marys in late Feb.
We won 5-0 and it should have been about 8-1.
He wasn't very good that night.
Conceding that penalty v Wrexham on the opening day last season, wasn't great for him either and moved him down the pecking order a little.
Who knows what player he may develop into, but like we so many others, different players develop at different rates and we often can't keep players in case they become good, especially if they are on loan, or there is a good offer on the table for them.
Nobody in the right mind would pay anywhere near £18m for him. |  |
