Fee is £26m base plus £4m add-ons and don’t forget City had a 15% sell-on clause. All said and done, enough left in the pot to find a replacement and get a decent forward in (not Jebbison!). I agree, I don't think we need a replacement. Jander amd Bragg can step up and we also have Downs. I would much rather we use the money on a really good striker.
We have a significant number of add ons with this deal, so yes a good bit of business by Saints. And good luck to Charles. He has scored some vital goals, been very professional and Fulham are a decent club to join. | |

I am not too bothered with him leaving, it was always on the cards, but I believ we have enough in our current midfield squad to do well. Just hope that Tonda can get a bit more out of Bragg and Jander. |  |

Dobbin and Azaz aren't holding midfielders, they'll play in the hole in the "number 10" role? showing my age here as I'd call them attacking midfielders
Downes will inevitably miss games due to suspensions for yellow cards and the number of games in the championship mean that 3 central, ball winning midfielders aren't enough. I gather we played Matsuki in that role yesterday, but hope we don't persist trying it in future |  |

agreed, will need another CM to replace Charles for sure. Of course still need a striker and possibly another LW if Edozie goes, who did pretty well last year for the run-in. |  | | |
