'Alex McCarthy is no. 29 and it showed. At times woeful, pointless long clearances, passes out to defenders under pressure, and taking so long to kick the ball that Notts forwards had time to nip in and rob him.
This will not have filled the defence with confidence.
With no effective No. 9 the young forwards had to rely on a right back to score the only goal.
The manager has a lot of work to do'

He got us promoted at Wembley and giving us a fantastic day out. Wining at Wembley is very rare as a Saints fan.
Yes he was stubborn in the end but he’s not the 1st manger that is nor is he the 1st manger to find the league above a step too far.
His promotion winning team scored a lot of goals , yes games weren’t that exciting even though we may have won 4-0 but we went home happy we won.
Not saying he’s a good manager just don’t get the hatred for him, for what it’s worth I still think he’ll get Leicester up this season. | |

I certainly don't hate him but his insistence on playing sideways and backwards with 20 passes in your own 6 yard box with players that arn't capable brings him attention. He should just admit that you can't play like that in every game and every situation with every player but he keeps insisting you can. And every game he manages at every club, another mistake happens in the 6 yard box and his team loses. He then makes excuses about why they conceded but it's his stupid tactics!!! It's like a comedy show. | |
