| Worst Ever Saints Manager 11:17 - Oct 1 with 677 views | SaintNick | Who is the worst Manager Saints have had, your top 3 please and why 1. Keep emotion out of it, Gavin Bazunu is far from the worst keeper that we have had and believe it or not Will Still was not the worst manager. 2. They have had to have managed the first team more than just a few games in an emergency, | |

| Worst Ever Saints Manager on 11:34 - Oct 1 with 626 views | shotters | Redknapp Martin Branfoot Closely followed by Nathan Jones Redknapp made a team that was more than capable of staying up a complete mess, typical of him it wasn’t his fault Martin was an arrogant narcissist who put his ego and career before the club For all his faults, how long have I got! Branfoot kept us up and we did win 6 in a row under him in his first season Nathan Jones was a complete nutjob but should have never been given the job, his first interview showed he was completely out of his depth | |

I would certainly put Redknapp above Branfoot in terms of the worst manager we have had, as much as I hated his style of football and the treatment of certain players such as Le Tiss, he was here for 2 1/2 seasons and in his first two seasons he kept us up with some to spare with little resources. Branfoot's first 2 1/2 years were probably better than Lawrie McMenemy's in terms of achievements, but we all know what happened next for Lawrie. To do so he didn't try to compete on a footballing level, but coached teams to be difficult to beat and scrap for points. Redknapp was a disaster from start to finish at least Branfoot cared about the club, even if we didn't agree with his style of football. George Burley should come in somewhere, he was given the money but couldn't get us up, I wouldn't class Martin as one of the worst managers, he got us promoted, but without a director of football at the club we had no transfer strategy and he was left floundering , yes his arrogance and refusal to adapt cost us, but the damage was already done, could he have kept us up if he had a director of football keeping him in check, we will never know but perhaps.

| Worst Ever Saints Manager on 12:23 - Oct 1 with 496 views | IanSouthstander | Branfoot. Redknapp , Martin and Nathan Jones had fairly decent win ratios. Their problems were more to do with style of play and their own personal promotion. If the criteria was solely win ratios, you'd have to say Ruben Selles, Steve Wigley, Mark Hughes and Ivan Juric were poor. If the criteria was who was out of their depth it would be Will Salt all day long. So if i had to list my 3 worst in order it would be. 1 Redknapp. 2 Branfoot. 3 Nathan Jones. I think this goes to show that for me it's not only about winning. Just don't be a koont. | | | |

Whilst I take on board that Martin got us promoted, any credit there was completely wiped out by his time managing us in the premier league Anyone could have told you playing that way was going to be a disaster, you didn’t need to be an expert or be clever enough to understand what he was trying to do, utter madness with the players we had Yes it was going to be pretty much impossible to stay up with the side we had, but at least he could have tried to make us hard to beat and slightly competitive. When the likes of Luton and the resources they have make a better fist of it, you have to ask some questions. To quote the old saying we were down before the Christmas decorations were down, well we were down before I’d even got up in the loft to get them out, and that was all down to that clown

A hill i'll die on is we got promoted despite Martin, he had a squad that should've been top two and got it to finish 4th, then only got through the play offs by changing his style of football. Everyone with half a brain cell could see what would happen in the premier league, and there were even people in my group on the tube back after the play off final saying we should sack him there and then

I said to my dad as we were queuing up to get into Wembley Park after the game that I hoped he would adapt otherwise the next season would not be any fun Still what does a decorator know? Not clever or brave enough to understand what Brightons answer to Rinus Michels was trying to do

You could also ask Leicester fans what they think of him right now. Needless to say he won't get many Christmas cards from them
