Smallbone/Romeu/Prowse 14:24 - Sep 12 with 2243 views | I_would | Must be the weakest and least attacking midfield in the Premiership. I suspect a lot of long hopeful balls today from CB's to strikers waiting on the edge of the area when they get fed up with them pinging back from the MF immediately. Pray for club sale and new quality AMF players.

Romeu's passing was far from solid and his error left them 3 on 2. WAC New CM needed asap

Yesterday you said why be so negative? Now you agree the defence needs an addition? [Post edited 12 Sep 2020 15:23]

CM = Central Midfielder :-) PEH not been replaced yet We have a new CB, who will hopefully have an influence on the team next month.

Time to go yet. We have lost some momentum since the goal. But the defensive errors continue and that is what Nick was saying. It's costly. Salisu might help, but we need him now by the looks of it.

Smallbone/Romeu/Prowse on 15:41 - Sep 12 with 1610 views | wemarch | Rome must be taken off, only back passing and already led made error which led to the 1st goal. No link between back and front with him standing in the key position.
Smallbone/Romeu/Prowse on 15:49 - Sep 12 with 1592 views | Bicester_North | Hate to agree with Boggs/Larry but ponderous slow play from the midfield so far. A classic first Saints game of the season at the moment.

With the MF line up there could only be one result Del.

Smallbone/Romeu/Prowse on 16:48 - Sep 12 with 1474 views | Saintsforeverj | Well this thread has proven to be true. Romeu has been terrible, Smallbone did nothing and Prowse not much better. The defence has also been very suspect. Zaha runs past Stephens like he isn't there. Oh well, that's Saints. Never have a good start. [Post edited 12 Sep 2020 16:55]

Could have been worse. At least the red card was rescinded & their offside goal disallowed. On the plus side - we're only 3 points off the top of the table! Europe beckons!

The ref going to the screen and changing his decision was good. I hope we see more of that this year. The decision was correct. As for Saints, well we always have a bad start. But Nick is right. The defence can be dodgy. Sometimes we will get away with it, sometimes we won't. I don't think Ralph will be happy though. The whole team was very slow, ponderous and sleepy. Ralph won't be happy and will get stuck in to them before the Spurs game. [Post edited 12 Sep 2020 17:06]
