The probem is that players who break into the first team at a young age ie under 18 always seem to struggle later in their careers, they damage their bodies , they havent built up the stamina needed for the level of training and they pay the price at a later age.
Look at the youngsters that break through as teenagers Rooney, Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and a host of others, they peak at 25/26 and then struggle in their late 20's. | |
