Todays the day! 06:11 - Sep 2 with 1431 viewssaintwizzler

That our Wolves tickets turn up.
Bought a month ago today.
In a phone call to the Ticket Office yesterday Royal Mail were first to take the blame but when I told them that all mail posted last Tuesday was delivered yesterday the blame was moved Wolves not sending the tickets out soon enough.
When asked when SFC Ticket Office did receive the tickets I was told “2 weeks ago.”
It was at that moment I gave up.
This seems to happen quite a lot. Our Spurs tickets arrived 2 days before the game.

Maybe it’s time for E-Tickets?

The employee’s first words to me were “Right this is what YOU have to do.”
I would of thought “I’m sorry to hear that Sir.”
Especially after 10 minutes on hold.
Not once did I get an apology just buck passing.

I await Buzz the postman with baited breath.

Easy to critisise the ticket office, but it’s often the opposing clubs that are the problem

Eg. Villa tickets only received by Saints yesterday, and Wolves tickets were certainly received late too

As I said in the opening post, Wolves tickets arrived two weeks ago at SFC Ticket Office I was told yesterday during my call.
Yes, these things happen but it’s too frequent at SFC.

An apology also goes a long way.

Seriously though, it is a real ball ache and stressful, plus the added nause of having to go to the ground early to collect a replacement when you should be in the pub necking beer and having bantz with the groovy gang👍

We’re hoping to get later train to Wolverhampton from Brum refreshments as home fans only in Wolves pubs apart from a Linton Travelodge bar.
All being well the tickets turn up today so this is still the case.

Shouldn’t come to this in this E-Ticket, next day delivery world we live in.

I think e tickets is how they want to do it, I nearly went down that route for the Chelsea game but as they add a 1.5 quid handling charge per ticket (I got 5 ) I thought sod it I'll get paper versions and arranged a pick up at the box office.

Surprise surprise they werent ready --and had to wait till they could find them, in the end they re-printed and handed over the counter.

That 2 second hand over cost £7.50

As I'm a collector/hoarder of all the away match tickets I've procured over the years, I'm very anti e-tickets. I don't think it's too much to ask for the Ticket Office to be able to post them out within plenty of time, no matter what excuses they want to use.

Mine came yesterday in the end by the way

Paper tickets will be a thing of the past soon.
As long as I get in I don’t care if it’s a paper ticket, ETicket or on a fag packet.
It’s the level of service that bugs me.
Especially talking to a fûckwit on a phone that I’ve been on hold to for a time.
As I said, no apology ever given and always someone else’s fault.
This isn’t a one off either.
Bet it’s the same for Villa tickets.

My sentiments exactly. Mind you i don't tend to give a toss about physical tickets for footy (apart from say Wembley finals - few and far between), however i do like physical gig tickets as it helps me remember random bands i have seen down the years.

Aston Villa away, has sold out already. And that's because we only took a small allocation. Shame, because I wanted to go and there is what over 2 weeks to go?

Strange that we only took a smaller allocation, as we usually sell out the full amount. Perhaps the club decided on less, due to it being on a Friday night and on TV.

To be fair though, tickets went on Sale on 16th August and even with a larger allocation, would probably have sold out by the time they went on General Sale on 24th August anyway.

To only decide that you want to go now, probably means that you would have missed the boat regardless of allocation.

I managed to get time off work. No, they sold out about 2 days ago for Villa, just 1600. They initially said they would take full allocation if needed and then didn't. Normally when we have 3000 tickets, they don't sell out until the final few days unless it's really popular. Wolves didn't sell out for example. They were still selling tickets for that yesterday, so to only take 1600, when we take more than that for every other game was a bit annoying.

Going to the ground early can be fraught with problems too Eric. Vis a vis Leeds a few years back where I had to collect my ticket and loudly confirm that yes, my ticket was indeed for the away section whilst being surrounded by typical Leeds neanderthals...

Tbf to SFC this time, they said if the initial demand was good they would take the extra
1400 tickets (top tier) as they'd have to pay the extra £42k sell or not.

As it took 15 days 16-31 Aug (7 of those general sale) to shift the initial 1600 you get why they didn't, as everyone really had ample chance to get them.
What i don't understand is the other season when we only took the lower tier, Villa left the top tier empty, so giving us the tickets sale or return would have benefitted them to a lesser degree even if we only sold 300-400 of them. Wolves similar tomorrow as they can't split that side with 2 sets of fans.

Fella, I'm going, but may be able to get hold of 3 extra tickets, interested?
