Are we surprised about AMN. He doesn't really want to be here. He's only came to Saints because no-one else would take him. It was embarrassing seeing him try to emulate our Oriel as a holding midfield player. Ooooh how we miss Oriel. And what's happened to JWP, he's a shadow of previous seasons & doesn't warrant a place in the side let alone being Captain (but in his defence, who else gave we got that could justify captaining that lot).

That's what I thought. He only moved quickly once and that was to get off the pitch when he was subbed. He obviously didn't want to be out there. He looks like another one we're going to struggle to get rid of. [Post edited 1 Oct 2022 19:36]

Thank fook he's only on loan from Arsenal. He looked about as interested in playing football today as I would watching Strictly Come Dancing.

That's wholly inaccurate..he left due to the manager... That is the reality..and one that I alluded to before the last season ever finished.

If true that is a massive indictment on Ralph. It does fit the continual rumours that Ralph cannot handle the man management side of the game. We need him out of the club quick.

It happened with Ings, Redmond, Broja Bertrand, and who knows who he's affecting now? Ward Prowse seems a shadow of his former self, so maybe him too. It's still a mystery as to why it's not been more obvious to supporters when players are noticeably either unhappy on the pitch with tactics, being played out position or being hauled off for no specific reason. Should have been gone months ago.
| Maitland- Niles on 22:53 - Oct 1 with 1831 views | ElijahK | Love it of just how quickly everyone’s opinions on him have changed! As one week he’s not in the squad and everyone goes ballistic acting likes he’s some start player of ours, and then the next he does play and is utter garbage (gave away the ball far too often and created soo little). Still, I guess every season we’ve always gotta sign at least one poor signing, thankfully this one’s only on loan! | |

And according to others what you’ve said is “wholly inaccurate”. As the media make up soo much nonsense that it’s very rare for them to actually get things like that true, as all it takes is one journalist or even fan to make up some rumour and within a few hours it can be everywhere! As why wouldn’t he have left a lot earlier if it was down to Ralph, as he’s spent a majority of his time here with Ralph in charge, whilst it’s quite common for players to wanna go back to their home countries when they hit the end of their careers

Dunno about that completely, as Ings left for the money/higher ambition, we couldn’t sign Broja as Chelsea wanted far too much for him and both Redmond and Bertrand were players that we wanted to get rid of and we’re happy with any money we could get in for them. So yeah maybe he is starting to loose the changing rooms and is struggling with man management, but all the ones you’ve named there blatantly left for other reason, irrelevant of your options on Ralph, you can’t blame him for them

Please stop trying defend him His time is up, the same pattern continues to exist We just lost to three very average teams withNO fight at all, virtually no shots on target, and three different starting elevens I see Coady was the MOTM today another signed we missed out on Ralphs time is up and he has t0 go before we get thumped by City drop even further with a huge minus GD

a bit like Mara, half-hearted in every thing I saw today from him. Certainly missing a decent CM and a proper striker. Is Pelle and wanyama/Schneiderlin available? Tadic, Mane...while you're at it 😒

Complete rubbish. Lots of people spouting bollix without knowing the facts. Romeu wanted a move back home and deserved his move after years of brilliant service . Who can blame him .

| Maitland- Niles on 09:36 - Oct 2 with 1545 views | saintwizzler | Maitland-Niles was way off the speed of the game. When did he last play a competitive game? The early booking did him no favours either. He will come good. Still better than Diallo who is not a Defensive Midfielder. | |

A choice between Maitland-Niles and Diallo is like a choice between Stephens and Bednarek, only at a lower level.

He's was poor yesterday for sure, he looked rusty and nervous in possession. There are a lot of harsh comments on him about his attitude that are pure speculation. Let's give the guy some game time to settle into the team for ffs! Saying that we're really missing Romeu. We should have promised him his move back home after one more season of service.
