Eurovision Song Contest Tickets on 09:31 - Mar 7 by dwayne_dibley
Given parts of Liverpool look like the Ukranian front line it is an appropriate venue

I went for a run this morning down Weston Shore to RVP. I’ve been down here for 22 years and the comparative progression of both cities in terms of waterfront and city centres is staggering. Southampton has seen bugger all improvements since Ocean Village and Liverpool has a world renowned waterfront which millions of visitors come to every year.
But yeah Liverpool is a shithole etc etc.

ST, Dwane Dribbler tries to be funny, and is about as funny as Mrs Browns Boys, ignore the nonsense, it's much easier.

Have to agree Solent. Southampton as a city, despite it's wealth has done bugger all to improve the look and feel of the city itself or the waterside apart from Ocean Village. A pity really as it could be a really nice attractive city. The parks and common and the waterside gives it all the attributes needed to create something imaginative which would bring in people. The town/shopping area is a disgrace. I hate to say it, but even Portsmouth have made more effort.

Every city gets hand outs, it’s what they do with it that counts.
When I first moved down here as part of my degree, Social and Community Studies - Mickey Mouse degree :), I had to study the huge funding that the city had been given through various action zones. Literally hundreds of millions was spent on regenerating St Mary’s Street and the conference centre in Thornhill.
Liverpool City Council have been absolutely bent as at times, there’s no denying that, but they have got things done as have loads of cities up and down the country including. Southampton City Council are inept and it’s a huge shame for a great city.

What a lovely city Southampton was. Hitler did some damage, but nothing compared to post war city planners. Contrast them with how Germany rebuilt their cities as exact replicas of the pre war architecture.

I had a few beers in the Red Lion pre match Grimsby, what an amazing old place but it’s totally run down and you wouldn’t know it was there.
