I never understood the decision to appoint him in the first place, seemingly due to the great relationship he had with the players. So what? Where did that great relationship get us under Ralph and NJ?
Winning at Chelsea got our dinlo fans completely carried away, with many thinking he was some sort of Messiah and demanding his permanent appointment. The powers that be appeared to get caught up in that hysteria and rushed into giving him the gig rather than looking for someone more appropriate. Talk about knee jerk reactions.
Surely when you sack a manager, you need a clean sweep and a completely fresh approach. New coaches, new ideas, a new boss. None of this " but the players like him" nonsense. Who the fvck cares what those helmets like? |  |

Jones wasn't given the tools until 2 weeks before he was sacked, which gave him no time to try and implement something new. Uselles has a squad full of options but doesn't want to use them and only wants to implement something old and failed.

Yes our players are not good enough as we've now seen three different managers failed to get them winning but for God's sake why not help yourself by picking a disinterested loanee over the hard working committed Perraud who also actually scores and crosses occasionally.

The crowd turned on the players Saturday. You're not fit to wear the shirt, was the chant. The players were a disgrace against Grimsby. They were a disgrace Saturday and in every other must win game we have had. The argument that we just need a decent manager is wearing a bit thin. The last four have all failed, so you have to question if the environment is right higher up. Selles may well be useless, but until we sign players who are established PL players, nothing will change. Any decent manager needs players who are up to the task.
These players (bought by the owners / board) are not good enough. The fans should be blaming the board for their terrible recruitment and seemingly bad manager appointments. It's not Selles fault he was appointed. It's the board, yet they seem to be escaping the wrath. Glad to see that the players got some stick too. They might not be up to it, but anyone can tackle or jump in front of a shot. Too lazy to do it or bad attitudes. [Post edited 19 Apr 2023 18:25]
