1. The traffic in Birmingham was reliably nightmarish. Not then helped by the A31 being closed on the way home meaning a Lyndhurst diversion. After 3 drop-offs, got home to Poole at 2.45am.
2. The Old Crown quite near the ground is a good boozer, but with the rudest bar service I have encountered for a while. Tempted to leave a review, which I would never normally bother to do.
3. Caught Radio Solent’s transfer window deadline special on BBC Sounds in the car on the way home. Heard a regular of this parish on there….
4. Birmingham’s fans are occasionally fantastic and then mainly uninvolved for the rest of the game. The corner near us were inclined to interrupt our “SOUTHAMPTON!” (clap, clap, clap) chant with “CHEATS” . Very droll.
5. I think this was a good point. We could have won, but Birmingham very rarely lose at home. Hopefully we will get better with Jander and Abbott to come into the team.
I said before the Millwall game that 4 points from that game and last night would be a right result, so I have to be content with a draw last night.
Onwards and upwards etc etc.

1) Traffic was awful. The state of the place as well. There is run down, but this is what you call "rundown."
2) After all that traffic, couldn't find a decent pub so paid nearly £8 for a cider in the ground and the wife had a bacardi and coke for the same price.
3) Walking around the ground amongst a few beggers, some Muslims going to mosque, and noisy, banging cars, the Birmingham fans were fine and not once did they say anything about spygate.
4) The ground is a proper old stadium. The Saints fans were in good voice but thought the Birmingham fans were quite quiet and timid on the night.
5) The result was fair. Good result a tough away ground, but somewhere we need to catch up. Will selling THB and being too light up front cost us promotion? I thibk it could. We shall see. |  |

Never have I seen so many St. George's flags spread across an area of a few miles. Absolutely everywhere.

We went through Solihull. It really was like driving through Pakistan. Went past a "School library service van". It had its windows smashed, paint all over it, parked just in front of a "luxury furniture" shop, that again had its windows boarded up and graffiti all.over it. Then a thin drugged up old man weaving in amongst the traffic, knocking on windows to get money. And just outside the entrance, a man holding up a sign God is love. He doesn't have much love for Birmingham, that's for sure. | |

Saw several thin drugged up types begging stopped cars at traffic lights
The Spotted Dog in Digbeth area another good pub before and after game, which had some fellow Uglies popping in prematch

Parked in Morrisons 5 mins walk from ground and wasn’t too bad leaving , tbh leaving anywhere out game by car is a mare
