I think it will take weeks to really get into this season, months even it’s just very weird. The first game of the season is always something to look forward to, seeing your mates in the pub before the game, new kit, sunny day, new signings, misplaced optimism, proper Leo Sayer on the ale.
There’s literally none of that this season.

I kind of agree with this. The pre-season has been a damp squibb, ruined by the international rubbish and Saints have signed 2 players; one of whom was already in the squad and the other injured.
Feels like there is not a lot to get fans excited about until we can see a match on TV again. Are they on TV this weekend??
