My cousin supports HWFC (and Saints) and will be there today.

Don't expect much from the ground or it's facilities, but it's only a tenner to get in and it's got a bar and a sloping pitch !!

Been to see HW a couple of times when I've visited my cousin and going back a bit, have actually played on the hallowed turf quite a few times for a few different Sunday and Veteran teams.

Enjoy

Went to watch the 2:22 play (a ghost story) in London last night for my wife's birthday. Starred Jay from Inbetweeners and Diaz from Brooklyn 99, and some other people I hadn't heard of. It was excellent.

This morning we went to the Britiah Library and amongst other things, looked at the Paul McCartney lyrics exhibition

Sighted in a project air rifle to 10m this morning (I am a novice at shooting but red dot sights are a marvel). Been to a wedding this afternoon, the daughter of a long standing friend. Modern familiar story, both in their 40s, her 2nd, his 3rd, kids from different parents, step kids from previous marriages. Apart from those two, 4 other parents involved with the kids. I don't think I could have coped outside of a monogamous marriage, but there you go, hope springs eternal, and everyone is allowed to chase their dreams (apart from living out porn videos and wotsits haha)

My wife and I want to see that 222 play, it's Danny Robins isn't it? We follow his podcasts. The play originally had Lily Allen in it didn't it?

Yes, it is Danny Robins. I did see it with Lilly Allen and I think she was better than the current lady, but that may be because I think Lilly Allen is great. Well worth seeing though, and I think I only paid £15 each for the tickets.

Danny Robins' Battersea Poltergeist and Uncanny podcasts are well worth listening to as well, even if you don't believe in the supernatural (I am undecided)

I went and watched AFC Totton defeat Mangotsfield United 3-0 to re boot their promotion push, a good afternoon with a decent game and a few pints

I went to a car boot and picked up a wartime RAF log book belonging to an air gunner in bombers. Attacks on French ports... German shipping... even awarded a very rare medal which was presented to him by the King of Norway himself! To say I'm pleased is an understatement!

I’ve spent the weekend just outside Monmouth where the in laws have just relocated having sold up to downsize from Surrey. The new house is half the price of the one they sold and almost three times the size (land wise).

I’ve spent most of the weekend (when not helping them sort stuff out) on Rightmove looking to do the same.

Really enjoyed the football free weekend too.

Hell of a slope on the pitch, reminded me of some Sunday league pitches around Salisbury I've played on.

Was a nice friendly club, but £10 to get in free parking right outside ground and Butcombe bitter £3.80 a pint and 3-2 win for Salisbury was a good game and well worth the visit

I own 50% of a tax advisory firm and swore that we would not do tax returns.

So today I'm supporting my staff in finishing off the last of 500 or so tax returns we have done.
