Oh, Well obviously Bazunu got better in the break, thx to great coaching. But if you See a New tactic against a midtable League 1 Club, that is built on 5 defenders with great Focus on Lyancos playmaking, you know there is nothing to worry about. Jones seems to have learned a lot about the players during the last weeks that nobody Else was able to notice by now..

Adams took goal well, and it was good build up, but he looked very slightly off side. I am guessing there is no VAR tonight ?
One observation; the build up play is a lot more positive and quicker, with a mix of balls into box.

A lot more direct from the back.
Lyanco in particular playing lots of long balls, just a shame we don't get anybody on the end of them.
Very sluggish start & AMN was awful in first 30 mins.
We never look comfortable playing 3 ctr backs.

Overall a good performance after a dodgy start. A lot of positives, but there were 2 shocking misses at the end by Adams and Edozie, both with the goal at their mercy. You will struggle to see worse this season. | | | |

Edozie looked Electric & offers us something we lack which is the ability to sit defenders on their backsides, but he needs more game time.
Shame that he missed the sitter.
Che Adams must be so embarrassed messing up his possible hat trick.
We'll need to improve dramatically if we want to get something from the Brighton game.

Both terrible. In fact I thought the whole performance was slow, ponderous, side to side, rubbish. This is against a struggling league one side. We only just scraped through with our first team out on the pitch. Then we miss twice from 2 yards out. F@cking hell Ralph.

Maitland Niles was awful in midfield, barely able to play a pass in midfield, improved a little when playing at full back
As a team we were terrible with 5 at the back but improved a little when we changed to 4 3 3, and the introduction of Walcott, Edozie and Stuart Armstrong, as we actually started to run and take on opponents, but we were well short of the quality we need against Brighton. We were very lucky last night that A/ there was no VAR, as our first goal was clearly offside and Lincoln would have had a penalty for the Perraud handball. B/ We weren't up against a Championship side.
Ultimately we squeezed through because, although they were the better organised team and had a team spirit which we lacked, we had a few better quality individuals, each of whom cost more than the entire Lincoln team. |  |
